Robinson Cano sat with Jay-Z and Beyonce at the Grammys

Robinson-Cano-Jay-Z-Grammys

Remember when people were wondering why Robinson Cano would leave Scott Boras to sign with Jay-Z and his up-and-coming sports agency. It all made perfect sense when Cano signed a 10-year, $240 million contract with the Seattle Mariners. And on Sunday night, we were reminded of some of the perks that go along with being represented by Shawn Carter.

Cano sat with Jay-Z and Beyonce at the Grammy Awards. He uploaded the photo on Instagram and captioned it “La familia.” Boras probably could have gotten Seattle to pay the same amount for Cano, but I don’t think it would look as cool to sit next to Boras as it does accompany Jay-Z and Beyonce.

Anyone who believes clients won’t take stuff like this into consideration when picking Jay-Z as an agent is delusional.

Jay-Z and Beyonce sit in Kevin Durant’s courtside seats

Jay-Z Beyonce basketballKevin Durant’s got friends and business partners in high places.

There was a buzz going around on Thursday that Jay-Z and Beyonce would be in attendance for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s nationally-televised game against the Los Angeles Clippers. That turned out to be accurate.

Royce Young of DailyThunder.com added another detail to the story — the power couple were sitting in KD’s courtside seats — and he supplied the photo:

Durant in June joined Jay-Z’s Roc Nation sports agency and became the rapper’s most high-profile client. There haven’t been many business moves since Jay-Z’s repped Durant that we know of, aside from KD’s Gatorade deal expiring. But we do know that the Thunder star has a lot of pull since he has HOV and Beyonce coming to his games.

Kim Kardashian looking like a Beyonce clone

Kim Kardashian Instagram

Kim Kardashian posted a selfie on Instagram this week that pretty much set the internet on fire. And like everything that comes to Kim, people are sharing their opinions.

You have some people complaining that Kim shouldn’t be posting revealing pictures now that she’s a mother. You have some saying that she looks great for a woman who just gave birth. You have others jealous of her body and saying that she has too much back.

But that’s not what concerns us.

After seeing the now-infamous butt-selfie Kim posted, I took a look at her Instagram account and couldn’t believe what I saw. Apparently I totally missed that Kimmie dyed her hair, changed her lip and skin color, and styled herself to look like Beyonce. I mean this girl is a straight Beyonce clone now. Tell me you don’t see it:

Coach K has a huge crush on Beyonce, told a great story about meeting her

Coach K has the image of a tight ass who runs a pretty strict program. The man is 66 and, while he can still recruit the top players in the country, he represents more of the old guard of college basketball. But one story he told over the weekend is about to change your entire perception of him.

According to the description of a video uploaded to YouTube, Coach K spoke at the Duke annual basketball campout over the weekend, which is an event where students camp out to get tickets for the upcoming basketball season. Coach K decided to tell the students about his time at the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year dinner last year where he introduced LeBron James, who received the honor.

The audio in the video is of poor quality, and the entire story isn’t shared, so we’ll relate what the YouTube uploader says.

Apparently Coach K was sitting at the dinner and couldn’t believe that two seats remained open. He was wondering who could possibly be late to an event like this, and sure enough Jay-Z and Beyonce walked in.

Jay-Z apparently introduced himself to Krzyzewski as “Jay,” leaving Coach K wanting to respond that he was “K.” That line got a lot of laughs, but Krzyzewski says he was too embarrassed to say the line to the rap mogul.

And that’s when Coach K revealed that he has a massive, massive crush on Beyonce and shares the story. Full transcription of his words is below, courtesy of Eye on College Basketball:
