Brandt Snedeker won the Canadian Open last month with a little help from mother nature. Hunter Mahan was the leader in the tournament after 36 holes, but he withdrew when his wife went into labor. There’s no telling if Snedeker could have won the event without Mahan bailing early, but it certainly didn’t hurt.
Snedeker thanked Mahan’s wife, beautiful former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Kandi Harris, after the victory and joked that he would be getting the couple’s new daughter a very nice gift to thank her for arriving early. From a creativity standpoint, Snedeker and his wife delivered.

Given the amount of money Snedeker won after Mahan withdrew, he could have dug into his pockets a bit deeper than that. In any event, the Snedekers get an A+ for creativity. I’m sure Mr. and Mrs. Mahan appreciated the gesture.
