Report: Dennis Rodman got drunk, threw up and crapped all over North Korea hotel

Dennis-Rodman-sobriety-cost-me-jobsDennis Rodman entered rehab a little less than a month ago to treat his alcohol problem. Rodman, who has long battled alcohol addiction, admitted that his embarrassing rant from North Korea was driven by alcohol consumption. However, that may not have been the only thing that led to his decision to seek help.

According to a South Korean newspaper, Rodman was out of control during his trip to North Korea in December. An anonymous hotel employee described his alleged behavior in an interview with Free North Korea Radio.

“Rodman was drunk the whole week of his stay,” the source said, via a translation of The Korea Times. “And the night before he left for the U.S., he was drunk unconscious, and vomited everywhere he turned. He even urinated and emptied the bowels in the hallway.”

Rodman reportedly stayed at the Kroyo Hotel in December with the basketball team he helped train. We all know of the serious political tension between North and South Korea, so anything written in one newspaper about the other country needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

“The stench was just horrible and people are criticizing not only Rodman, but also Kim Jong-un saying that ‘No one in a right mind would be a friend with Rodman. An animal that he is,'” the source added.

Rodman was allegedly asked to leave North Korea and told not to return until he can get his alcohol problem under control. He has visited the country four times and become friends with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

While we can’t verify the report about Rodman puking and s—-ing everywhere, we can’t say we’d be shocked if it were true. He’s been known to do some pretty weird stuff while partying.

Dennis Rodman enters rehab for alcohol problems

Dennis RodmanDennis Rodman has entered rehab to treat his alcohol problems, his agent said on Saturday.

Rodman has long battled alcoholism and admitted that a recent rant during an interview with CNN from North Korea was fueled by alcohol. Rodman has been criticized for befriending North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and failing to understand the magnitude of mistreatment for which Kim is responsible.

Rodman’s agent, Darren Prince, told the media about his client checking back into rehab.

“Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally. The pressure that was put on him to be a combination ‘super human’ political figure and ‘fixer’ got the better of him.

“He is embarrassed, saddened and remorseful for the anger and hurt his words have caused.”

Rodman has been known for his piercings, tattoos, colored hair and partying ways throughout most of his career. He recently put his name on a type of vodka — Dennis Rodman — The original Bad Ass Premium Vodka — which looks like a terrible endorsement deal now that he’s entered rehab.

Dennis Rodman apologizes for North Korea comments, says he was drinking

Dennis-Rodman-sobriety-cost-me-jobsDennis Rodman’s bizarre relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jung Un has been well-documented over the past year. Earlier this week, the former Chicago Bulls star implied that captive American missionary Kenneth Bae is at fault for his arrest. Rodman apologized for those comments on Thursday.

“I want to apologize,” Rodman said, via the Associated Press. “I take full responsibility for my actions. It had been a very stressful day. Some of my teammates were leaving because of pressure from their families and business associates. My dreams of basketball diplomacy was quickly falling apart. I had been drinking. It’s not an excuse but by the time the interview happened I was upset. I was overwhelmed. It’s not an excuse, it’s just the truth.

“I want to first apologize to Kenneth Bae’s family. I want to apologize to my teammates and my management team. I also want to apologize to Chris Cuomo. I embarrassed a lot of people. I’m very sorry. At this point I should know better than to make political statements. I’m truly sorry.”

Rodman has been criticized for not using his influence to help free Bae, who is in poor health and has been detained for “anti-state” crimes and allegedly devising a plan to overthrow the North Korean government. On Wednesday, Bae’s sister Terri Chung ripped Rodman for not supporting her brother.

“Here’s somebody who is in a position to do some good for Kenneth and refuses to do so,” Chung told KOMO Radio in Seattle. “And then after the fact, instead, he decides to hurl these unqualified accusations against Kenneth. It’s clear he has no idea what he’s talking about. I’m not sure who he’s talking to, where he’s getting his information, but he’s certainly no authority on Kenneth Bae.”

We know Rodman is a strange character, but it seems obvious he is desperate for attention. He’d be best off keeping his nose out of sensitive world affairs.

Dennis Rodman: LeBron James would be an ‘average’ player 20 years ago

When comparing some of the greatest players the NBA has ever seen like Michael Jordan and LeBron James, the issue of the game’s evolution always comes into play. Can you ever truly compare two players who played in different eras? On some levels, you can. But for the most part, it’s impossible.

For example, Dennis Rodman told Dan Patrick on Friday that the NBA has changed so much over the 20-25 years that LeBron would be nothing more than “average” if he played during Rodman’s era. Because of that, he said you can’t even compare Jordan and James.

Dennis Rodman is in North Korea for a goodwill tour, and he’s already offended PSY

Dennis RodmanDennis Rodman arrived in North Korea this week for a goodwill tour. Yes, Dennis Rodman of all people. Though his wild child reputation makes him an unlikely candidate to thaw relations between the US and North Korea, Kim Jong Un is said to have been a fan of the 1990s Chicago Bulls, with whom Rodman won three championships, so maybe The Worm does have a chance to improve relations.

Whatever Rodman does, let’s just hope he displays more tact and knowledge than he did on Twitter Wednesday.

Rodman sent out the following tweet to Korean pop star PSY, whose song “Gangnam Style” became an international hit, without realizing PSY was from South Korea:

Smooth move, Worm.

The response from PSY hasn’t kept Rodman from continuing to tweet about his mission.

A wasted Dennis Rodman allegedly demanded to see his son, and then took him out to breakfast for Jager shots

From the sounds of things, Dennis Rodman is every bit as crazy as we always thought.

According to TMZ, Rodman’s ex-wife Michelle obtained a restraining order against her ex-husband in response to an incident last month when Dennis allegedly barged into her house at 2:30 am and demanded to see the couple’s 11-year-old son.

The details of the alleged incident are phenomenal. From TMZ:

Michelle said Dennis attacked her when she refused, shoving her onto a bed, then took off — only to return hours later, still intoxicated, asking to take their son to breakfast. Michelle obliged … on the condition she came with.

At breakfast, Michelle said Dennis got even more wasted — ordering 4-6 shots of Jägermeister … in front of the kid … and downing them all. She claimed Dennis then repeatedly made comments about her boyfriend, saying, “You’re f**king this white guy!”

A judge reportedly granted Michelle a temporary restraining order that prevents Rodman from contacting his wife or their children.

And he claimed he didn’t have an alcohol problem? Yeah, like we’re going to buy that one. Who the heck drinks a half-dozen Jager shots for breakfast? This dude has serious problems (but you already knew that).

Dennis Rodman believes that getting sober hurt his job prospects

Dennis Rodman has always been known for being — to put it lightly — a very eccentric person. Throughout his NBA career, Rodman’s crazy hair styles, tattoos and piercings always made him must-see TV. In fact, the Hall of Famer believes his bad boy personality is ultimately what made his services desirable. According to the NY Post, Rodman told ESPN on Sunday that he had more trouble finding a job when he cleaned up his act.

Rodman said he believes he became “unhirable” eight years ago when he stopped drinking. He complained that nobody in the NBA wanted to touch him because he had become “boring.” His agent, Darren Prince, said that is not the case and that Rodman scored his first ever Super Bowl ad in 2005 when he was sober.

“Even in his prime with the Chicago Bulls in the mid-90’s, he never had a Super Bowl commercial,” Prince explained, adding that Rodman’s drinking has cost him opportunities like the time he was fired from the “Celebrity Apprentice” in 2009 for showing up drunk. “I know if he got sober, he could get a coaching job. He could be a rebounding coach, possibly work in the front office. We’ve had many discussions with TNT and others, and they all say the same thing — he’s too risky, because they don’t know if he’s going to show up drunk or not show up at all.”

Prince’s reasoning sounds a bit more sound and Rodman’s reasoning sounds a bit more Rodman. Dennis the Menace likely has trouble finding work because he spends too much time in strip clubs and has a tendency to do inappropriate things like this. There are a lot of reasons Rodman has not had as successful a life after basketball as he hoped he would, and I highly doubt sobriety is one of them.
