Eminem gives crazy interview with Brent Musburger on ESPN

ESPN had rapper Eminem in the booth during halftime of the Michigan-Notre Dame game on Saturday night because nothing says college football tradition quite like Marshall Mathers. Actually, Eminem was on to promote his single “Berzerk” and his Marshall Mathers LP 2 album due out in November, which definitely fit in well during a game of such magnitude.

The interview was every bit as bizarre as you could imagine. First, Eminem looked faded out of his mind when the interview began. Seriously. Check out this amazing GIF for the ages:

Eminem is a Frustrated Cowboys Fan But He Believes in Tony Romo

Anyone who listens to Eminem’s lyrics or has seen the movie 8 Mile knows Marshall Mathers is proud to be from Detroit. This year would have been a great year for Slim Shady to root for the Lions, but that ship has already sailed. In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Eminem explained that he is a Cowboys fan because the Lions were so bad when he was younger that he had to hop off the bandwagon. Being a Dallas fan, this year left him frustrated. However, Eminem is not ready to give up on Tony Romo just yet.

“I hate to sound (expletive) cliché, but I truly believe that Romo gives them the best chance to win,” he said in the interview according to the Dallas Morning News. “It’s very frustrating to watch them week in, and week out. They blew all those fourth quarter leads this year. Man, it’s hard to be a football fan. You get invested in your teams and it literally can ruin your entire (expletive) week. And just for the record — I am a Lions fan first and foremost. But growing up as a kid, the Lions were so bad for so long, that I picked up another team in the Cowboys.”

Being a “Lions fan first” but actually a Cowboys fan doesn’t sit well with me, but we won’t get into that. Believe it or not, I think Eminem’s opinion of the Cowboys is one that is shared by most of the fanbase.  People are sick of Romo’s choking ways, but everyone knows he’s talented.

Romo has guaranteed that this particular Dallas team will win a Super Bowl, but that can only happen if he stops making mistakes at crucial moments in big games.  It would also help if he could stay healthy, which is out of his control.  It’s time for the Cowboys to step up and make a run next season.  B-Rabbit still believes in you despite your recent failures. What more could you ask for?

Roethlisberger Deserves Being Made Fun of in New Eminem Song

By now, I’m sure you have heard about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his little incident with a college co-ed down in Georgia. Well now thanks to the internet and its ability to upload songs in seconds, rapper Eminem has immortalized Big Ben in his latest song — and it’s not in a good way.  This clip of the song is quickly turning viral, and in case you haven’t heard it yet here’s what Eminem has to say:

“I’d rather turn this club into a bar room brawl/ Get as rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall.

Was it wrong of me to laugh the first time I heard this? I wasn’t laughing because of what happened to that poor girl, I was laughing because Roethlisberger more than likely paid her off to not pursue the charges thinking that this would all blow over. Not this time pal. Years from now people will be listening to their MP3 player and Eminem’s song will come on to remind us what a scumbag he is. I really hope that the six-game suspension sticks and we don’t see Big Ben back on the field before then.

Eminem isn’t the first rapper to poke fun at an athlete for their “indiscretions.” Ludacris did it just a couple months ago when he poked fun at Tiger Woods in his song called “Sexting.” Roethlisberger deserved this one and I feel like this is just the beginning of the jokes directed at him. I say keep it coming with those jokes to remind people like Roethlisberger that they can’t just write a big check and make their issues go away.
