Jayru Campbell, best known for bodyslamming a security guard at school in January, is back in trouble again. And the quarterback prospect couldn’t even wait a day upon being released from jail before allegedly causing more problems.
Campbell, who is a senior at Cass Tech in Detroit and was originally committed to Michigan State, was arrested on Friday hours after being released from jail. Campbell had been serving a 57-day sentence for assaulting the security guard.
According to Fox 2 in Detroit, Campbell is accused of choking a female during a football game at Cass Tech High School.
WXYZ says Campbell grabbed his girlfriend’s cell phone, went through her text messages and then assaulted her. He is currently in custody.
Campbell decommitted to Michigan State in June. In addition to his jail sentence, he was ordered to take anger management classes and serve 15 months probation.
