New York Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery was forced to leave his start on Tuesday with an elbow injury.
Montgomery was making his sixth start of the season. However, he was removed from the New York’s game against the Houston Astros after just seven pitches due to elbow tightness. He was replaced by Domingo German.

Montgomery, 25, made 29 starts last season and pitched to a 3.88 ERA over 155.1 innings. In his first five starts this season he has a 3.77 ERA in 26.1 innings. He had pitched a scoreless first inning against Houston before exiting.
