ESPN announcer Jimmy Dykes got absolutely laid out by Alabama freshman guard Levi Randolph during the Bama-Arkansas game Thursday. The play occurred with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game. Randolph poked the ball loose while going for a steal and tried to save it from going out of bounds. He ended up diving over the announcers table at mid-court, knocking over Dykes. Papers went flying everywhere, but at least Jimmy “took the charge.”
I guess we could call that payback for Arkansas having one of their own calling the game (yes, Dykes used to play for the Razorbacks). Bama won the game 79-68.
