How did Bill Belichick celebrate his seventh Super Bowl berth? By smooching his girlfriend, Linda Holliday.
The New England Patriots head coach was shown by CBS’ TV cameras in a good mood and celebrating after his Patriots beat the Steelers 36-17 to win the AFC Championship Game. He gave a hug and kiss to Holliday, and the public display of affection was shown on TV.

That’s very unlike Belichick, who has mastered the art of publicly appearing to be a robot.

Given how many victories and championships he has won in his illustrious career, one might be inclined to think New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick never sleeps. That may be true when he’s at home, but we now know one place Belichick goes when he needs a little shut-eye.
With his team on a bye over the weekend, Belichick was spotted snoozing on the Nantucket ferry with his girlfriend Linda Holliday:

Belichick owns a home on the island of Nantucket, which is located about 25 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. If you’re a huge Larry David fans like LB and I, you may have heard of it in the HBO movie “Clear History.”
That may be Bill Belichick in the most human form you will ever see him. You just know he was watching film and studying for next weekend’s game on that laptop, but even the wicked need rest every now and then.
If we knew Belichick was going to fall asleep in public, we would have guessed it would have been more at a time like this. Even the most boring sports figures can surprise us sometimes — by being boring, I guess.

When I think of Bill Belichick’s infamous hooded sweatshirt as it pertains to his and Linda Holliday’s relationship, I like to think it is something the three-time Super Bowl champion coach’s girlfriend only lets him wear during games. I envision a closet full of hoodies with the sleeves cut off and Holliday saying something like this about them.
“Don’t put any of those things NEAR my clothes!”
Maybe I’m wrong. Belichick also wears the trademark hoodie when he works out. On Monday, Holliday posted a photo of her and her boo hitting the weights. Belichick was in midseason form with his wardrobe selection.
Now that I think of it, Linda did once rock a “Ms. Belichick” jersey on the sideline during a game. Belichick was wearing the hoodie when she did that. She must dig it.

The New England Patriots wanted to leave Miami with a victory over the Dolphins on Sunday, but they came up just short. It looks like Bill Belichick had a nice consolation prize.
A Barstool Sports reader submitted the photo you see above, which supposedly shows Belichick’s girlfriend Linda Holliday wearing a “Ms. Belichick” jersey. I can’t think of anything that seems more unlike Belichick than having a personal cheerleader on the sideline, but the guy has been known to surprise us sometimes.
If you saw the way Belichick and Holiday dressed on Halloween, you would know they enjoy having a good time. Hopefully Linda was able to cheer Bill up after the Brutal loss.
The New England Patriots have countless pre-snap play calls with dozens of different names. Like many of the game’s great quarterbacks, Tom Brady is given the liberty to change the play or call out protections as he sees fit. He does this quite often. The question many people are wondering heading into the Thanksgiving holiday is this — do the Patriots have a play call named after Bill Belichick’s girlfriend?
In this video on NFL.com, you can barely make out one of Brady’s teammates saying “cougar, cougar” just before the ball is snapped and thrown to Rob Gronkowski for a 6-yard touchdown. After the player appears to say “cougar,” Brady can clearly be heard yelling “Linda!” Belichick’s girlfriend, as many of you know, is the lovely Linda Holliday. She was recently asked about the play.
“Well, since it was obviously a good call and a well-executed play, I’ll take a tiny bit of credit — but only for a well-named play,” Holliday told the Boston Herald’s Inside Track. “Seriously, the whole team played hard and we all couldn’t be happier, right?!?”
Hey, she didn’t deny it. Urban Dictionary defines a cougar as “a 35+ year old female who is on the ‘hunt’ for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male.” Bill Belichick is older than Holliday and he’s certainly not energetic. But is he willing to do anything? Did you see what he did in overtime the other night against the Denver Broncos? I think that answers that question.
