NFL picks Week 4 against the spread – Del’s comeback

Del has dug himself into quite the hole with some rough picks through the first three weeks of the NFL season. If this were Week 10, I’d start to get a little concerned. Since there are still over 200 games remaining in the regular season, there is more than enough time to turn the season around.

That being said, there can be no more excuses. The comeback has to start now, and the top three have to improve. After seeing three weeks of play, we’re hoping to have a better idea of what teams are and aren’t capable of. As usual, Del’s Week 4 NFL picks are below, with analysis of the top three after the chart. Be sure to check back later in the week for Doc Brown’s Week 4 selections.

NFL picks Week 3 against the spread – Doc’s locks

Doc Brown is ready to get back on track with a strong week of NFL picks in Week 3. The Doc usually doesn’t like making picks for the first two weeks of the season, instead preferring to see how teams look before finally making predictions. Well, we’ve finally reached Week 3, and the Doc feels like he has a good grasp on teams, which should lead to solid results. But the Doc is also taking some chances this week.

Analysis of the top three selections below.

NFL picks against the spread Week 3 — Del’s selections

The good news about Week 2 is that it was a slight improvement on Week 1. Del was able to get seven picks right against the spread and actually get one of his top three selections correct. The bad news is it still wasn’t great. However, we’re only heading into Week 3. There is more than enough time to get the top three turned around before the end of the season and start picking at above a 50% rate, and that’s exactly what we’re planning to do.

Week 3 includes a lot of tricky games with plenty of toss-ups that could go either way and a few mismatches with massive spreads. Sounds like a good week to catch fire, if you ask me. Below are Del’s Week 3 NFL Picks, with analysis of the top three after the sheet. Be sure to check back later in the week for Doc’s locks.

NFL picks Week 2 against the spread – Doc’s locks

Doc had a rough time against the spread in Week 1, but his locks were pretty solid. The Doc went 2-1 for his Top 3, absolutely nailing the Philadelphia Eagles’ stunner over the Washington Redskins on Monday night, and the Miami Dolphins’ road win over the Cleveland Browns. The Oakland Raiders pulled off a stunning comeback that helped them cover the spread even if they lost to the Colts. We’re not so confident they’ll do it again. Picks below, with further analysis after the grid.

NFL picks against the spread Week 2 — Del’s redemption

I’ll start out by saying this — at least there are 16 weeks left in the season. Week 1 did not treat the Del well, to say the least. There were a lot of unexpected surprises — Terrelle Pryor most notably — who kept their teams in games and managed to cover the spread, if not win outright. My top three selections were a disappointing 0-2-1 to kick off the season, but there’s still more than enough time to improve.

Time to quickly forget and move onto the next week of action. Below you’ll see Del’s Week 2 NFL Picks. As usual, be sure to jump ahead after the chart for analysis of the top three selections. Also, remember to check back later when Doc Brown posts his picks for the week.

NFL picks against the spread Week 1 – Doc Brown time

As Del said in his selections, it’s good to be back.

Doc and Del took a one-year hiatus from picking games, but we are back at it again. Week 1 is always a tricky thing because you don’t know what to expect from teams. As a general policy, I like to observe the first two weeks before putting down any picks of significance, but that doesn’t work so well when all leagues demand your picks in Week 1.

Anyway, Del already wrote a post explaining his picks for the week. Below is a look at my picks. Each of our top 3 picks are highlighted in light blue. Those are the money picks. Full analysis below.

NFL picks against the spread Week 1 — Del’s selections

It’s good to be back. After a one-year hiatus from picking NFL games against the spread, Doc and Del have returned for the 2013 season to help you get your pools and survivor leagues — and whatever else you do that involves picking NFL games — in order.

For those of you who were not with us a couple of seasons ago, here’s how it works. We’ll pick each game against the spread and straight up all season long. The games you see highlighted in blue are the ones we feel most confident in. In other words, we’d be putting our money on those if we were gambling men. Those are the picks we really want to be nailing at more than a 50% clip as the season chugs along.

So without further ado, here are Del’s Week 1 NFL Picks. Be sure to jump ahead after the chart for analysis of this week’s top three selections, and check back on Friday when Doc posts his first picks of the season:
