Nick Lachey kicked out of Chargers-Bengals game

Singer/actor Nick Lachey was kicked out of Sunday’s Chargers-Bengals game in San Diego after getting into a fight with a fan sitting in front of him.

Lachey is a big fan of Cincinnati’s sports teams and even is a part owner of an ABA team and minor-league baseball team. The longtime Bengals fan wrote about the incident on his Twitter account Sunday and seemed pleased with himself.

TMZ reported that Lachey was kicked out for excessive trash talking, but he denied that was the reason.

Nick Lachey: Cincinnati Bengals Are a Joke

Singer and performer Nick Lachey is a hardcore Cincinnati sports fan and actually almost bought the Reds several years ago. I used to call him a man-bander and think he was just a storefront fan posing as a hardcore guy, but I have to admit I was wrong. After reading his interview with SI’s Jimmy Traina earlier in the week, I have to say Lachey comes across as a true Cincinnati sports fan who knows his stuff.

The best part of the interview was when Traina asked what it’s like being a Bengals fan. As someone who has divorced from the team, I can relate and I agree 100% with Lachey’s answer. Here’s what he said:

“At one point, I tried to defend the team. But if you care about your city, your fanbase and ultimately your team, you can’t defend that ownership any longer. It’s a joke. I’ve been pretty vocal about saying there needs to be a change there. Quite frankly, I think Mike Brown would love nothing more than if this labor situation ended the season because then he wouldn’t have to pay any players, he can run scabs out there and make guaranteed money. For him, no season is a best-case scenario.”

It’s so true. You want to defend your team, but their ownership is a joke. They’re too cheap to get a new coach, too cheap to get a proper scouting department, and too cheap to get their first-round picks in camp on time. It is a joke there. I also agreed with Lachey about Ochocinco whose act in Cincinnati is played out. But the area I disagree with him on is Carson Palmer.

Nick Lachey Almost Bought the Reds?

About a year ago, man-bander Nick Lachey became an owner of a minor league baseball team called the Tacoma Rainiers. That’s cool to me, because the dude can probably pour a little bit of cash into the organization should the need arise. What I didn’t know however, was that Lachey almost joined the elite company of Marge Schott. In an interview with the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, he says he almost bought the Cincinnati Reds.

How did you get involved with the Tacoma Rainiers?

About two or three years ago, I was involved with a group that was trying to buy the Cincinnati Reds, which is my hometown. And we didn’t get the team, but obviously it kind of sparked that interest in me. The Rainiers were up for sale and… it was a good opportunity.

Hot damn, I’m just glad we didn’t have to find out what the 7th inning stretches would have been like at that ballpark. Who would’ve thrown out the first pitch on Opening Day? Backstreet Boys? O-Town? Good thing we didn’t have to live through that chapter of life. Could you just see Lachey chewing out Edwin Encarnacion after a game? ROTFLMAO!

Check Out Nick Lachey’s Oh Face

There was all kinds of buzz going around recently saying that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Manillo had a sex tape coming out. Both were in fear that such a tape would emerge — obviously they learned nothing from the career successes of Paris and Kardashian. So not that this has anything to really do with sports, aside from the fact that Lachey has commentated on a few ESPN sporting events — college football I think — but I still will present the pictures. Why? Because they’re freaking hilarious.
