Little kid schools Swaggy P with great move (Video)

Nick Young schooledA camper at Nick Young’s Summer Basketball Camp absolutely schooled Swaggy P. with a great move that even Hakeem Olajuwon would have appreciated.

Young has been hosting his basketball camp at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth all week and posted the video seen above to his Instagram account Friday. Though the free agent guard obviously wasn’t playing his best defense, he quickly buckled down after the kid went behind his back, showing that he meant business. Young recovered quickly and stuck with the young camper, but he got beat the same way so many do — the Dream Shake got him!

Sick moves by that camper! Somebody better offer him a scholarship now!

Brandon Jennings tried to pass Nick Young a pill in the club

Brandon Jennings seems to be enjoying the offseason a little more than his boy Nick Young. Over the weekend, the two NBA players were partying together at a club and standing around the DJ booth. At one point, Jennings was caught on camera offering Swaggy P some sort of white pill.

The Smoking Section noted that the video was originally posted by rapper The Game but later deleted. I guess any beef The Game and Jennings had last year has been smoothed over?

As for what the pill was, we’re unsure. It could have been anything, but some have speculated that it was molly, which is a popular party drug that is similar to ecstasy. The way Young turned it down certainly makes it seem like the pill was more than aspirin.

Nick Young: God gave me the name ‘Swaggy P’ in a dream (Video)

Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young is a fun-loving guy. It’s evident most of the time, especially when he tosses around his “Swaggy P” nickname.

The name has given us plenty of entertaining moments, even when circumstances aren’t necessarily the best. When speaking about his house being robbed while the Lakers were playing against the Orlando Magic, Young said, “I was just shocked they tried to get ‘Swaggy.”

Now, we know where the nickname came from. If God gives it to you, you go with the flow and don’t ask questions. Swaggy P it is.

Nick Young totally airmails first pitch at Dodgers game (Video)

Nick Young DodgersNick Young: pretty good at basketball. Not too good at baseball.

Young and his Los Angeles Lakers teammate (and San Fernando Valley boy) Jordan Farmar took in the Dodgers-Phillies game on Wednesday night and hung out with the team beforehand. They hit in the batting cages before the game, and then Young threw out the ceremonial first pitch. It did not go well.

Young completely airmailed the pitch and sent it a good 10 feet over Dee Gordon’s head.

We’ll give Swaggy P. a break knowing that it looks like he doesn’t have too much baseball experience. And, hey, at least it was better than John Wall’s pitch.

Swaggy’s really making the rounds. The day before, he was at the Los Angeles Kings’ playoff game and even got to ride on the Zamboni:

Nick Young says what he’ll do to Iggy Azalea ‘shouldn’t be legal,’ possibly leaks Mike D’Antoni’s firing

Nick-Young-drunkThe NBA regular season has ended, and the Los Angeles Lakers are not in the playoffs. That means it’s party time for Nick Young. On Wednesday night, TMZ caught up with Young and it appeared as though he had just enjoyed several cocktails. He was heading home with his girlfriend Iggy Azalea, and all indications were that s— was about to get weird.

The interview started out fantastically when Young was asked about people saying Pau Gasol should have addressed the fans before the Lakers’ last home game instead of him.

“I am the star,” Young said. “I’m Swaggy P.”

He then turned the discussion to Azalea.

“You see what I’m going in this car with?” Swaggy P asked. “What I’m gonna do with this shouldn’t be legal.”

And before he got in the car and drove away, TMZ’s reporter was able to ask one more basketball question. He asked Young what he thinks about people calling for Mike D’Antoni’s job.

“Damn man, that’s a shame what happened to D’Antoni,” Young said.

Granted, Young appeared to be completely wasted. He might have just been saying D’Antoni has been put in a bad situation, but he spoke in the past tense and made it sound like D’Antoni is out. Of course, that wouldn’t surprise anyone.

All in all, we give Swaggy P’s interview an enthusiastic A+.

Nick Young sets record straight on alleged nude girlfriend selfie

Nick Young had to set the record straight Wednesday night after an alleged nude selfie of him and his girlfriend Iggy Azalea started making the rounds online.

It’s really tough to track the roots for this one, but things may have started when a Twitter account called “A– pics and Vines” that has nearly 82,000 followers tweeted a picture of a bare, round-bottomed girl being kissed in the crotch region by a guy who somewhat resembles Young. Of course it didn’t help that they said “Iggy Azalea with Nick Young from the Lakers” were the people in the picture.

The photo started to circulate and even made its way to Young and Azalea.

Azalea, who is a rapper and model, quickly denied over Twitter that it was her, and even her followers pointed out that it couldn’t be her because the girl did not have tattoos.

Young denied it in even funnier fashion. He even said the rumor had reached his mom!

Nick Young comically celebrates early on missed 3-pointer (Video)

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers gave us a historic performance, and Nick Young gave us a blooper for the ages.

The Lakers scored 51 points in the third quarter of their 127-96 win over the New York Knicks, which was a franchise record for most points in a quarter. They shot 57.8 percent from the field for the game, including 64.3 percent on 3-pointers. Nick Young was a standout in that regard, as he went 5-for-6 on threes as part of his 20-point performance. But it was his one miss that was oh so memorable.

Swaggy P started the game 3-for-3 from long range, so it’s safe to say that he was feeling it. In fact, he was feeling it so much that on a 3-pointer he attempted at the end of the third quarter, he began celebrating before the ball went in.

The ball, of course, rolled around the rim and went out, giving us this amazing photo, video and GIF.

Seriously, how great was that? I mean I’m just trying to figure out the best part. Was it Young turning his back to the basket like he knew the shot was going in? Was it him holding out the three symbols on his hands?

I swear, this has to be the defining image of Nick Young’s career (and the Lakers’ season, for that matter):
