Nick Young says what he’ll do to Iggy Azalea ‘shouldn’t be legal,’ possibly leaks Mike D’Antoni’s firing

Nick-Young-drunkThe NBA regular season has ended, and the Los Angeles Lakers are not in the playoffs. That means it’s party time for Nick Young. On Wednesday night, TMZ caught up with Young and it appeared as though he had just enjoyed several cocktails. He was heading home with his girlfriend Iggy Azalea, and all indications were that s— was about to get weird.

The interview started out fantastically when Young was asked about people saying Pau Gasol should have addressed the fans before the Lakers’ last home game instead of him.

“I am the star,” Young said. “I’m Swaggy P.”

He then turned the discussion to Azalea.

“You see what I’m going in this car with?” Swaggy P asked. “What I’m gonna do with this shouldn’t be legal.”

And before he got in the car and drove away, TMZ’s reporter was able to ask one more basketball question. He asked Young what he thinks about people calling for Mike D’Antoni’s job.

“Damn man, that’s a shame what happened to D’Antoni,” Young said.

Granted, Young appeared to be completely wasted. He might have just been saying D’Antoni has been put in a bad situation, but he spoke in the past tense and made it sound like D’Antoni is out. Of course, that wouldn’t surprise anyone.

All in all, we give Swaggy P’s interview an enthusiastic A+.

Nick Young sets record straight on alleged nude girlfriend selfie

Nick Young had to set the record straight Wednesday night after an alleged nude selfie of him and his girlfriend Iggy Azalea started making the rounds online.

It’s really tough to track the roots for this one, but things may have started when a Twitter account called “A– pics and Vines” that has nearly 82,000 followers tweeted a picture of a bare, round-bottomed girl being kissed in the crotch region by a guy who somewhat resembles Young. Of course it didn’t help that they said “Iggy Azalea with Nick Young from the Lakers” were the people in the picture.

The photo started to circulate and even made its way to Young and Azalea.

Azalea, who is a rapper and model, quickly denied over Twitter that it was her, and even her followers pointed out that it couldn’t be her because the girl did not have tattoos.

Young denied it in even funnier fashion. He even said the rumor had reached his mom!

Nick Young comically celebrates early on missed 3-pointer (Video)

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers gave us a historic performance, and Nick Young gave us a blooper for the ages.

The Lakers scored 51 points in the third quarter of their 127-96 win over the New York Knicks, which was a franchise record for most points in a quarter. They shot 57.8 percent from the field for the game, including 64.3 percent on 3-pointers. Nick Young was a standout in that regard, as he went 5-for-6 on threes as part of his 20-point performance. But it was his one miss that was oh so memorable.

Swaggy P started the game 3-for-3 from long range, so it’s safe to say that he was feeling it. In fact, he was feeling it so much that on a 3-pointer he attempted at the end of the third quarter, he began celebrating before the ball went in.

The ball, of course, rolled around the rim and went out, giving us this amazing photo, video and GIF.

Seriously, how great was that? I mean I’m just trying to figure out the best part. Was it Young turning his back to the basket like he knew the shot was going in? Was it him holding out the three symbols on his hands?

I swear, this has to be the defining image of Nick Young’s career (and the Lakers’ season, for that matter):

$100k in possessions robbed from Nick Young’s house during Lakers game

Nick YoungNick Young scored 26 points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 103-94 victory over the Orlando Magic Sunday night, his highest output since 31 points on January 20.

Any good feelings from the victory and Young’s performance shifted to the back burner when the Lakers’ second-leading scorer on the season returned to his home following the game.

He arrived to find a window broken and the place burglarized.

“I walked in and saw drawers open, clothes all over the floor. I know I didn’t leave my place like that,” Young said Monday via the Los Angeles Times. “Then I looked at the window and it was broken. Glass all over the floor. That’s when I knew someone had gotten in there.”

“I think they knew that I had a game that day. I think they scoped it out a little bit,” Young said. “Obviously they knew nobody was in the house and they knew we had a game so they came at the right time.”

red-october-yeezyThankfully, no one was home at the time of the break-in, although the robbers got away with nearly $100,000 in property.

Among the items no longer in Young’s possession are popular Nike Nike Air Yeezy sneakers.

If there’s a guy in the NBA who can create a lighthearted moment at a time like this, it’s Nick Young, who summed up the situation as only he can.

“I was just shocked they tried to get ‘Swaggy.”

Nick Young mad at Lakers teammates for not helping him in fight

Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young was ejected in the second quarter of a loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night for throwing a punch. Young was furious after a hard foul from Alex Len, and he ended up hitting Goran Dragic in the face during the scrum that followed. After the game, Young expressed disappointment in his teammates for not having his back.

“What I’m mad about is it was 1-on-5, I felt like,” Young said, via ESPNLosAngeles.com. “If somebody [from the Lakers] would have got in the middle, everything wouldn’t have escalated that much.”

One player who chose not to get involved was point guard Kendall Marshall, who stood watching the brawl from a distance. Instagram user davidhaddad24 shared the following meme after the game, and some of the commenters said that Young (@swaggyp1) even “liked” the photo.

Nick Young, Alex Len ejected for punch, fight (Video)

Nick Young and Alex Len were ejected during the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers-Phoenix Suns game on Wednesday night following a hard foul by Len and Young’s combative reaction.

Young was driving to the basket for a layup, and Len hit him hard in the face. Young was furious when he got up and gave Len a shove. The Morris twins stepped in to try separating the two, but Young was irate. He ended up smacking Goran Dragic in the face.

Gilbert Arenas posted his first Instagram selfie and Nick Young clowned him hardcore for it

Gilbert Arenas selfie

Gilbert Arenas, once one of the first athletes to embrace new media such as blogging and Twitter, arrived a little late to the Instagram game. Despite his late arrival, Gil’s quickly amassed nearly half a million followers. He often uses his Instagram account to post videos of him working out and training, and to post daily memes. He also frequently runs jersey and sneaker giveaway contests through his account.

On Wednesday, Arenas decided to try something new: he shared his first selfie. The reception was, shall we say, icy.

Fellow basketball player and San Fernando Valley boy Nick Young, who regularly interacts with Gil on Instagram, totally mocked Arenas for it. This is just hilarious:

I can’t even … I’m just dying.

I’ve never seen “Ice Age” before, but after running a quick Google search, might this be who Young thought Arenas looked like?
