The 2014 World Cup is less than three days young, and already we have seen some players score incredible goals using their heads. Robin Van Persie lived up to his Flying Dutchman nickname with this beautiful header in an upset win over Spain on Friday. On Saturday, it was Costa Rica’s Oscar Duarte who put on a show.
Duarte’s diving header, which gave Costa Rica a 2-1 lead, was his team’s second goal in three minutes. It proved to be the game winner as Costa Rica went on to win 3-1. Joel Campbell scored the first goal with a rocket shot after some nifty footwork.
This World Cup stuff has been all its cracked up to be so far.
