Samuel L. Jackson makes unexpected appearance at Louisville game

Samuel L Jackson

Who could have ever anticipated that Samuel L. Jackson would show up at a Louisville game? And who could have ever imagined it would be on the Cardinals bench?

In a hilarious happenstance, wide receiver Traveon Samuel and quarterback Lamar Jackson sat down next to each other in perfect harmony with 12:03 remaining in the first quarter. And what the ACC Regional Sports Network broadcast captured next would immediately go viral.

After the game, Samuel and Jackson got a good laugh out of it, claiming they had never considered that their names spelled out “Samuel L. Jackson” before.

“The Samuel L. Jackson thing?” Jackson told the Courier-Journal. “[Samuel] just showed me in the locker-room. That’s funny. I’ve never thought of that.”

Samuel and Jackson now join a list of other hilarious college football pairings, including West Virginia’s Johnny Dingle and Scooter Berry, Arkansas State’s Jemar Clark and Darion Griswold and UTEP’s Autrey Golden and Jameill Showers.

Hallelujah for college football, am I right?

Samuel L. Jackson intros Hornets-Clippers, quotes Ezekiel 25:17 (Video)

Samuel L. Jackson is known for being an actor who never turns down a role. I guess he has the same policy when it comes to repping professional sports teams.

Two years ago Samuel L. did a “Rise Up” video for the Falcons. On Thursday, he did the pregame intros for the Clippers-Hornets game in New Orleans, following the lead of Will Ferrell. Jackson wasn’t as funny as Ferrell, but he quoted passages from Ezekiel 25:17, the infamous prayer he said in “Pulp Fiction.” That was one of Jackson’s best roles (Rev. Sultan was my fave) so anytime he quotes it he’ll be thought of highly at LBS.

Samuel L. Jackson Reps the Atlanta Falcons in New Commercial

Samuel L. Jackson never met a script he didn’t like. Perhaps then it’s no surprise to see him pimping the Atlanta Falcons in a commercial for their ticket sales department despite Jackson being born in D.C, growing up in Chattanooga, and living in Los Angeles. I guess his ties to the Falcons come from his days at Morehouse College in Atlanta. Regardless of how Rev. Sultan swung this gig, it’s pretty amusing and worth watching. Check out this Samuel L. Jackson Atlanta Falcons commercial via The Sporting Rave and Jimmy Traina’s Hot Clicks:

If that video does not make you want to buy Falcons tickets, then nothing will. Right on, Rev.
