Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches lets home get into foreclosure

Siohvaughn Funches Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches has not been doing well since she split from the Miami Heat star several years ago. There has been plenty of evidence of that over the years, like, for example, the fact that she has reportedly allowed her home to get into foreclosure.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Wade has stopped making payments on the $225,000 he owes on his 7,800-square foot home in South Holland, Illinois. Wade and Funches lived there together with their two children before Funches filed for divorce in 2007. However, Wade’s people say he doesn’t owe anything — Funches does.

D-Wade’s attorney told TMZ that Wade and Funches finally reached a settlement last year after years of battling in court. In addition to a large sum of money, Funches got the Chicago suburb home and assumed the mortgage payments. Wade’s attorney said Funches simply stopped making the payments but they are not Wade’s responsibility.

Some of the divorce proceedings between Wade and Funches are still ongoing. Siohvaughn recently asked a judge to step down from their case because she believes he is too star-struck by Wade. This is the same woman who sued the police department and once pretended to be homeless on the streets of Chicago to make Wade look bad. She is, by all indications, a mess.

Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches thinks judge is too star-struck

Dwyane Wade Siohvaughn FunchesDwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches loves a good courtroom battle, and it sounds like she has found something new to complain about in her ongoing divorce settlement hearings with the Miami Heat star. According to court documents obtained by Gossip Extra, Funches believes the judge overseeing the proceedings is too star-struck by Wade to be objective.

Funches asked in a recent motion that Family Court Judge George Sarduy step down from the case. One judge has already had to step down from the case, but Sarduy refused.

Funches listed several reasons for wanting Sarduy to step down. She was denied a request for an emergency meeting on June 22 and claims she lost two weeks with the couple’s children because Sarduy accommodated Wade’s travel plans. She also said Sarduy “seemed intentive and argued in favor of Wade” during Wade’s testimony at a July 3 hearing.

In addition, Funches even pointed to an instance where Sarduy allegedly introduced his wife to the court “as Wade looked on.” Funches’ attorney claims Sarduy had never called attention to his wife in a courtroom before.

“The court treated (Funches) not as if she were the mother of the children but almost as if she were an insignificant Heat groupie,” the motion read.

Sarduy denies that he has been anything but impartial.

“The trial court … has been and will continue to be fair and impartial,” his order read. “The court harbors no ill will towards either party.”

Wade and Funches have been battling in court for years. Funches has sued the police department and acted homeless in the streets of Chicago along the way. She is the definition of a loose cannon.

Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches suing police over child abduction charge

Dwyane Wade Siohvaughn FunchesDwyane Wade’s lawsuit-happy, whacked-out, totally nutso ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches is suing her ex-husband’s attorney and Dolton Police alleging that they framed her for child abduction, according to a report.

The Chicago Sun-Times says Funches claims police “violently attacked” her at her home two years ago. In the suit, she alleges that Wade’s divorce attorney James Pritikin conspired with Dolton Police officers to have her falsely arrested for child abduction when she did not return her children to her ex-husband as directed by a judge.

And how’s this? Funches reportedly “says she suffered a torn rotator cuff, asthma attack and a panic attack due to her rough treatment during the arrest.”

As a bonus, Siohvaughn is acting as her own attorney. Maybe that’s because nobody wanted to work with her anymore.

This woman is nuts. Simply nuts.

Shrink, parenting coordinator for Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches quit

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches have been going through and incredibly messy divorce for more than five years. Back in July, the two reached a financial settlement in which Wade gave Funches what his attorneys called enough money to live a “wonderful lifestyle” for the remainder of her life. Apparently that hasn’t ended the drama.

On Thursday, Gossip Extra reported that two people who are assigned to keeping the peace between Wade and Funches have suddenly quit their positions. One was parenting coordinator Howard Rosenberg, whose job was to oversee the amount of time each parent spent with the couple’s children. The other was psychologist Leslie Star, who had agreed to produce an in-depth psychological evaluation of Funches, as Wade demanded after the settlement was reached. Star reportedly resigned before her first appointment with Funches.

Rosenberg cited his inability to work with the lawyers involved in the case as his reason for giving up his $400-per-hour gig. Funches’ lawyers indicated that Star quit because of the nature of the case.

“Everybody’s got their limits,” attorney Brian Hurst said. “This is the kind of case with a level of review on someone’s work that people are often unaccustomed to.”

The July settlement between Wade and Funches came after Siohvaughn took to the streets of Chicago holding a sign that said she was the mother of an NBA star’s children and had no money. Given some of the stuff that has happened between the two over the years, it isn’t exactly surprising that people have given up on their case.

Dwyane Wade demands psychological evaluation for ex-wife

The battle between Dwyane Wade and ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches is not get any better. The two reached a financial agreement recently, but they are now fighting over Funches’ visitation rights for their two sons.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Wade would not allow her sons to go with their mother for a previously scheduled two-week visit because of concerns over her mental health. The Sun-Times says Wade filed an emergency motion in Miami last week demanding Funches submit to a psychological evaluation or lose rights to any future visits with her children.

What caused Wade to have concerns over his ex’s behavior and psychological state? Her homeless demonstration in the Chicago streets recently.

“S.L.’s [Funches-Wade’s] statements, behavior, and her demeanor in court reflect that she is presently lost, angry and desperate. Her behavior is not in the children’s best interests…D.T. [Wade] requests that this Court immediately suspend S.L.’s timesharing…pending the results of a psychological evaluation of S.L.,” Wade’s filing states.

Funches defended herself, telling the Sun-Times in a statement that this is how Wade responds anytime she speaks out publicly about their situation. She also says she should have been allowed custody of their sons for the planned two-week visit pending the outcomes of a hearing. A 2011 judgment calls for the parents to have alternating two-week blocks of custody of their children during the summer. Wade has full custody of their sons otherwise.

Wade and Funches were high school sweethearts and married in 2002. Wade filed for divorce in 2007. What a nasty, nasty situation.

Dwyane Wade, ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches reached financial settlement last week

Siohvaughn Funches staged a bizarre sitdown in Chicago last week to bring attention to her financial conflict with ex-husband Dwyane Wade, but Wade’s representatives say that all took place after a financial settlement was reached.

A statement from Wade’s attorney Jim Pritikin sent to LBS by Wade’s PR reps says the two reached a financial settlement three days before Funches sat down in Chicago holding a sign claiming to be homeless. The statement also calls out Funches for her erratic behavior which has led to arrests and multiple attorneys.

“Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches have reached a financial settlement. The agreement was submitted in court last Tuesday, July 16 prior to Ms. Funches’ recent unfounded and erratic public display outside the courthouse this past Friday. Dwyane Wade has made several requests over the years to settle this matter, despite Ms. Funches having 16 different attorneys and 2 arrests throughout this process. Mr. Wade has provided a very generous settlement to Ms. Funches to continue to live a wonderful lifestyle for the rest of her life.”

Wade’s attorney says the Miami Heat guard has been paying many expenses for his ex and providing her with a $25,000 monthly payment.

Siohvaughn Funches: Dwyane Wade owes me money

Siohvaughn Funches Dwyane Wade

Siohvaughn Funches made a public demonstration in the streets of Chicago on Friday to bring attention to her financial struggle with ex-husband Dwyane Wade, who she claims owes her large amounts of money.

Funches sat down outside the Daley Center in Chicago holding a sign that said “NBA Miami Heat Star Mother of His Children On the Streets.” Funches told 89 WLS in Chicago that she is on the streets because her ex-husband owes her money and will not pay unless she agrees to a gag order (audio of the interview here).

“This is the issue: he owes me quite a large sum of money,” Funches told the 89 WLS Sports Pregame Show. “There was an order in place that he would have to give me money. That order also called for the endorsement companies — Gatorade, Staples, T-Mobile, all of the endorsement companies that he has — to make a direct deposit into an agreed upon account. He hasn’t complied with that order, and neither have those endorsement companies made a direct deposit. That went on for years, so I took care of myself and our two children purely living off of savings. The savings dwindled down. I was advised by my lawyer to find a bankruptcy attorney.”

This claim from Funches isn’t exactly new; The Chicago Tribune recently reported that she was suing Wade for over $1 million over his endorsement money, though she supposedly dropped the suit.

Not only does Funches say she was advised to look into bankruptcy, but she also claims to be poor.

“I went into the court room and I asked the judge, ‘please, let’s just settle this matter. Because if I’m destitute, I can’t be a mother.”

Funches says the money she has received from Wade is not enough to live off of.
