Jonathan Martin will meet with NFL investigator Ted Wells on Friday. Wells is conducting the independent investigation into accusations that Martin was harassed and bullied by his Miami Dolphins teammates.
The Dolphins originally planned to meet with Martin on Wednesday, but Wells asked them to postpone the meeting until after they met with him first.
“Ted Wells and the National Football League have asked that we delay our meeting with Jonathan Martin until they have the opportunity to meet with him first. Out of deference to the process, we will cooperate with their request. We look forward to meeting with Jonathan directly as soon as possible,” the Dolphins said in a statement.
We shared an example of the kind of treatment Martin in the locker room — his teammates reportedly repeatedly fined him for being soft. We imagine more details of what Martin dealt with will emerge following his Friday meeting with Wells.
