Denver Broncos Sport Ugly Yellow Jerseys Against Patriots

Several NFL teams have been wearing their throwbacks uniforms this year in a trend that’s spread across several sports. The Cowboys wore theirs on Sunday as did the Chiefs, and the Patriots and Broncos did the same. The Patriots uniforms look familiar because it’s the same ones they had from ’61-’96. The Broncos however aren’t throwing to their Blue and Orange crush John Elway unis. Oh no. They’ve sent it back to the days of 1960-1961 with the first uniforms worn by the franchise.

Broncos Yellow Jersey

The Broncos are sporting those hideous yellow and brown uniforms that have to be amongst the ugliest NFL uniforms I’ve ever seen — and that’s coming from a Bengals fan. The story has it that the reason the Broncos had those colors is because their original owner was cheap and wanted a uniform that could be worn both at home on the road. He got his wish. He also pained the eyes of everyone in Colorado. Seal brown and burnt gold with striped socks. Yuck. The mid-80s Padres think those are some ugly uniforms.

OK, So the Team in Green’s the Boston Celtics, Right?

Right up there with those ugly Oregon baseball uniforms has to be what the Chicago Bulls wore on Tuesday in their game against Boston. I might not be a smart man, but I’m pretty sure the Celtics are supposed to be the team in green when they play the Bulls.

It may have been St. Patrick’s Day but Chicago took things entirely too far. Their only saving grace is that they won the game. Boston can partially thank Doc Rivers for blowing it considering he got T’d up with the team down by only four and around 26 seconds left. If that didn’t happen, they had a chance at winning. The knee injury to Garnett really has killed Boston as far as home court advantage goes. That should be a fun battle if Cleveland hangs on for the top seed.

Nike, Oregon, Setting New Standard for Hideous Uniforms

I don’t typically post about team uniforms, but these are so ugly they warrant our attention. After watching Oregon State win a couple of CWS titles in a row, Oregon decided it was about time to start fielding a baseball team again. And if their new uniforms are any indication of team performance, they won’t be winning many games this season. As passed along by site contributor Andy.

OK, let’s just start with that “O” on the pants. That’s totally overdoing it. Doesn’t need to be there, so why have it there? Another thing, when did it become mandatory for jersey tops to be two pieces? Must sleeves be necessary? And do I even need to bother with that hideous green uniform that has the gigantic “O” in the middle? What are they doing, going for the thunder-labia appeal? Let’s just hope those are the alternates and that the team never wears em. Jeez, if that’s the future of baseball uniforms, I’m not so sure I want to be a fan. Of course, a post on ugly unis would not be complete without pics of some of the ugliest unis in sports. My boy Dayn Perry has the Top 10 ugliest uniforms in college football. Here’s a sample:
