Women’s tennis stars Caroline Wozniacki and Serena Williams have become extremely close friends over the past year. For evidence of that, look no further than that time the two partied together the night Williams dominated Wozniacki in the US Open finals. And if you’re still not convinced, their New Year’s Eve tweets should seal the deal.
Woz and Serena sent some emotional tweets back and forth on Wednesday night.

We certainly know Woz went through a lot in 2014. Williams supported Wozniacki through her sudden breakup with Rory McIlroy, so it’s no surprise the two have become so close. And given the way McIlroy dumped Woz, it’s safe to say she needed a best friend more than ever over the past several months.
