JK Rowling sticks up for Serena Williams, burns Twitter troll
Serena Williams got some sweet social media support Saturday from one of the most unlikely sources.
J.K. Rowling, best known for being the author of the Harry Potter book series, was in attendance at the Wimbledon Ladies’ finals Saturday to enjoy some tennis. She expressed her support for Serena early on, though she also was supportive of runner-up Garbine Muguruza.
Go Serena! #SerenaWilliams

After Williams won in straight sets to capture her sixth Wimbledon title, which made her the reigning champion at all four majors, Rowling celebrated the accomplishments.
Tennis history is made! #QueenOfCentreCourt @serenawilliams

#SerenaSlam! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!

Some people had negative responses to Rowling’s celebration, including one Twitter troll who described Serena as “built like a man.”
@jk_rowling @hansmollman ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man

Rowling hit back with a fantastic photo response:
.@diegtristan8 "she is built like a man". Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You're an idiot. pic.twitter.com/BCvT10MYkI

Williams certainly is bigger, broader, stronger and more muscular than many female tennis players in the world, but few can look as incredible in a dress as she can. Here is some excellent visual evidence.
