Nick Kyrgios hilariously credits heckler for getting best of him

Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios is known for being a hot-head on the tennis court and a troublemaker at times. But the Aussie tennis player concedes on Tuesday that a heckler actually got the best of him recently.

Kyrgios was answering questions from the media following his straight sets win in the first round of the US Open Tuesday and was asked how much crowds affect him. Here’s how the exchange went:

Q. When you hear what people are saying, how much do you have to zone that out?
NICK KYRGIOS: I don’t really zone it out, to be honest. Some guy was like, Change your clothes, that’s an awful outfit.
I was trying to come up with a comeback. I didn’t want to say anything. He was an old man. He got me this time.

Hey, when they get you, they get you. Not much you can do about that one, Kyrgios, except take it. Of course, Kyrgios is used to fans booing him, so he has some experience with this sort of thing.
