Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki friends off the court
Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki may have to be opponents on the court, but the surprise is that they are actually friends off of it. And the world learned about the relationship a few months ago.
Wozniacki was feeling pretty miserably after being dumped by ex-boyfriend Rory McIlroy in May. And guess who was there to help get her mind right afterwards? None other than Serena.
Both players lost early at the French Open this year and decided to spend some time together. They went to South Florida and hung out on the beach. They even took in the NBA playoffs and watched the Miami Heat play, where the now prescient photo seen above was taken.
Serena also shared many more photos on Instagram of the two of them together during their mini-vacation:
And how did Serena tag the photo seen above? “Friends forever.”
After winning the US Open final in straight sets over Woz, Serena now leads their all-time series 9-1. The two even planned to go out for drinks together later in the evening.
