Freddie Freeman did the unthinkable on Friday night in Game 1 of the World Series.
Freeman was batting with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning against Nestor Cortes. The bases were loaded with two outs, and the New York Yankees were leading the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The Yankees had just intentionally walked Mookie Betts to load the bases and bring up Freeman, who punished the AL East team for the move.

That was the first ever walk-off grand slam in World Series history.
Freeman said in his postgame interview with FOX that the hit was “a dream come true” and the exact sort of thing you dream about when you’re five years old.
That was Freeman’s second hit of the game and first home run of the postseason. He has been bothered by an ankle injury over the last month, but it sure didn’t affect him on that incredible swing.
