Jurickson Profar teased fans after robbing home run in Game 2

Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar teasing Dodgers fans

Jurickson Profar on Sunday decided to have fun with a few fans after making one of the biggest defensive plays of his career.

Profar’s San Diego Padres led the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 entering the bottom of the 1st inning of their NLDS Game 2 matchup at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.

Dodgers slugger Mookie Betts came up to the plate with the bases empty and one out against Padres starter Yu Darvish. Betts put a charge in the first pitch he saw from the Japanese pitcher.

Betts’ batted ball looked like a surefire homer to left field, and it appeared that way for a few seconds. But Profar somehow managed to snag the ball and teased some fans in the process.

Profar clearly didn’t endear himself to the fans after that. With the Padres holding a 4-1 lead entering the bottom of 7th, one fan hurled a baseball at Profar that caused a delay on the field.

Sunday featured quite a contentious doubleheader of MLB postseason games.

Fans also made their presence felt in Game 2 of the NLDS between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets. The difference there was that Phillies fans booed their own player who eventually won them the game.
