The Buffalo Bills outplayed the Miami Dolphins in Week 18 and, as it turns out, outmemed them as well.
Buffalo snatched away the AFC East division title from Miami on Sunday with a 21-14 win over them. While the result meant that both teams finished 11-6, the Bills’ victory gave them the tiebreaker over the Dolphins and thus the division crown.
The Bills celebrated the division title, their fourth consecutive one, with a petty post to their X page about the Dolphins. They used the classic State Farm commercial of the guy holding a dollar on a fishing pole and saying, “Ooh you almost had it! You gotta be quicker than that!” The Bills put in their own twist however by adding in their logo and the Dolphins logo to the video as well as the line “AFC East title.”

Buffalo winning the division was unthinkable just a few weeks ago when they were sitting at 6-6 and Miami at 9-3. But the Bills won out and the Dolphins lost three times (including Sunday’s pivotal head-to-head matchup), sealing the improbable result.
It is entirely possible that the two sides could still meet again in the postseason (with Buffalo opening against Pittsburgh and Miami meeting Kansas City). But for now, the Bills can enjoy their meme (as well as the fact that they turned Mike McDaniel into a meme too).
