Charles Barkley has hilarious quote about inevitable Cavs-Warriors Finals
The NBA’s biggest problem these days is keeping the intrigue up even when a fourth consecutive Cavaliers-Warriors NBA Final looks inevitable.
For Charles Barkley, the hard part is pretending that something else could happen.
The TNT analyst told Marc Stein of the New York Times that the most difficult part of his job will be pretending that someone will trip Golden State or Cleveland up on the way to the NBA Finals.
“The toughest thing for me is I have to get on TV and fake it for seven months that it’s not going to be the Warriors and Cavs in the finals again,” Barkley said. “Yes, it is.”
Barkley has long been a critic of the Warriors, from dismissing them as a jump shooting team that wouldn’t win a title to criticizing Kevin Durant for joining last summer. Now, though, he knows well enough that the Warriors probably won’t be beaten in the Western Conference Playoffs.
