DeAndre Ayton sets humble goal for himself ahead of NBA Draft
DeAndre Ayton is widely considered to be the best player in the draft, and most consensus top overall picks say their ultimate goal is to lead an NBA team to a championship. The former Arizona star is aiming a bit lower, at least to start.
When asked on Wednesday what he would consider achieving success in the NBA, Ayton said for him it would be signing a second contract.

While that may sound like a given, there have been plenty of draft busts who fizzle out after a few years and have to play overseas or call it a career. Ayton is determined to prove he will not be one of those players, and you have to respect that.
Having said that, the career goals of Ayton and European star point guard Luka Doncic could not be more different. If you combine the two, you might just get the perfect franchise player.
