Dwyane Wade laughs off New York billboard recruiting LeBron
It’s safe to say that Dwyane Wade will not be putting his money on the New York Knicks to win the LeBron James free agency sweepstakes this summer.
The Miami Heat guard was asked on Friday about the New York billboard that emerged this week in an effort to recruit James to the Knicks. According to Ian Begley of ESPN, Wade laughed in response and said, “Good luck.”

Wade, who was teammates with James for five total seasons and seems to be his best friend in the league, presumably has a strong idea of the four-time MVP’s mindset heading into free agency. When you consider that the Knicks don’t exactly have a stable infrastructure or an opportunity for championship contention to offer James either, the pitch probably has as much chance of succeeding as this other one that we saw recently.
