FedEx Forum evacuated after fire by Grizzlies’ locker room
FedEx Forum had to be evacuated on Wednesday after a fire nearby the Memphis Grizzlies’ locker room, according to the team.
Grizzlies PR sent out a tweet on Wednesday sharing news of the fire, which they say was a small electrical one discovered in a sauna.
A small electrical fire was discovered in the sauna located in the Grizzlies locker room area and FedExForum was evacuated. Memphis Fire was contacted immediately and the fire has been subsequently extinguished.

There was some initial concern that the fire could affect the start time for the team’s game against the Hornets, but things went on as initially scheduled.
