Giannis Antetokounmpo asked Bucks to stop selling shirts of his Hardaway dunk?

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo appears to have compassion for his dunk victims.

Earlier this week, the Milwaukee Bucks began advertising T-shirts for sale featuring Antetokounmpo’s cold-blooded dunk over Tim Hardaway Jr of the New York Knicks last month. However, the listing (along with all mentions of it on the Bucks’ Twitter account) seemed to mysteriously disappear within days, much to the chagrin of many prospective buyers.

Bucks writer Paul Henning relayed on Saturday that the team had indeed deleted their initial tweet advertising the shirts and speculated that Antetokounmpo himself might have had something to do with it.

ESPN’s Eric Nehm added that Antetokounmpo said after Friday’s win over those very same Knicks that he disagreed with the decision to sell the shirts.

While almost all traces of the shirts have since been scrubbed from Twitter, Barstool Sports did manage to capture an image.

In any case, it is definitely a kind gesture by Antetokounmpo, who continues to prove that he is one of the most down-to-earth players in the game today.
