Watch: Jaylen Brown, Marcus Morris separated after confrontation
Jaylen Brown and Marcus Morris were separated during a confrontation in Thursday’s 115-99 loss to the Miami Heat.
The Boston Celtics played the Heat close the first 17 minutes of the game, but then Miami started to pull away halfway through the second quarter. It was around that time when Morris got frustrated with Brown for a seeming lack of effort and let him hear it during a timeout. Take a look at this video a fan captured:

According to a breakdown from NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg, Morris had clapped at Brown for being late getting back on defense, allowing the Heat an easy layup. Morris then voiced his frustration with Brown during the timeout, and Marcus Smart stepped in between to separate them.
The score was 35-32 at the time. Miami pulled ahead 61-43 before halftime. Brown was benched the rest of the half and did not re-enter until just before the end of the third quarter.
Morris is known for keeping things real, so it’s no surprise he said something to Brown about the poor effort.
