Jeanie Buss makes light of Lakers’ tampering charges with funny tweet
The Los Angeles Lakers have drawn multiple fines this season for tampering, but president Jeanie Buss is managing to keep a good sense of humor about it.
In a post to Twitter on Tuesday, Buss reacted to a newly-released video feature by Bleacher Report starring Lakers rookie forward Kyle Kuzma.
Everybody gave up on @KyleKuzma at first, but all he needed was one shot

In her tweet, Buss expressed enthusiastic support for the feature while also joking that she was not tampering because Kuzma was already on the Lakers.
Love this @kylekuzma !!!

This is not tampering – he is already on OUR team!!! https://t.co/3BvLhG1cN2— Jeanie Buss (@JeanieBuss) March 27, 2018
Indeed, the Lakers have gotten into trouble twice already this season for commenting on players NOT on their team, most recently when president of basketball operations Magic Johnson drew a hefty fine for a seemingly benign compliment about Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka were also punished earlier in the year for illicit attempts to recruit Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George.
In the context of those two violations, it’s easy to see why Buss might want to clear things up for the league office about her tweet — you know, just in case.
