Klay Thompson dropped a game-high 39 points during Friday’s win over the Mavericks. This will generally earn you a post game interview, which it did for Thompson. However, he was less concerned with talking about Stephen Curry and more interested in meeting a member of the Cowboys.
Dez Bryant was in the building to see the Warriors get win No. 62 on the season and caught the attention of Thompson as he was in the middle of an interview with Jim Barnett of CSN Bay Area. Apparently a big fan of the Cowboys receiver, Thompson ditched Barnett to go meet Bryant before he made his way out of the arena.

Barnett’s “Well great, he’s got other things to do” is about the best you can do given the circumstances, I suppose. On the other hand, this does serve as a reminder that athletes are fans just like us. It just so happens when Thompson saw someone he’s a fan of he was on live television.
