Look: Knicks sneak Kevin Durant into season ticket renewal pitch
The New York Knicks weren’t exactly being subtle in trying to sell season ticket renewals to their fans.
The Knicks don’t have many of their own players to promote right now, particularly after trading Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks. They are, however, expected to be very active in free agency this summer, and it’s probably no coincidence that one fan pointed out Kevin Durant’s prominence in their marketing materials.

It was 100% real. I'm a season ticket holder and it was what I saw when I logged into the subscriber portal. Because of the pickup this tweet got, they've already taken it down.

Another fellow season ticket holder (@mrchristiankoch) was able to corroborate what I saw by logging into the same subscriber portal and taking a full screenshot. Still can't believe they tried this. pic.twitter.com/uesZcsjb04

Durant will be the biggest free agent on the market, and the Knicks will reportedly be interested. Someone in marketing is probably going to get a talking to over this, but you have to respect the hustle.
