LeBron James playing through a nearly broken hand in the NBA Finals is nothing to be underestimated.
News came out after the Cleveland Cavaliers lost in Game 4 to the Golden State Warriors Friday night that James had played most of the series with a hand injury. James and the Cavs managed to keep the news quiet throughout the series until LeBron showed up to his postgame media appearance with a cast on his hand. At that point it was reported that James injured his hand punching a board after the Game 1 loss. James confirmed the injury and said his hand was nearly broken.

LeBron still averaged 34 points per game and shot nearly 53 percent from the field during the series despite his hand injury. He also averaged 10 assists per game and made 84.2 percent of his free throws. That’s even more impressive knowing the injury he dealt with.
