Kerr: Kevin Durant doubtful to play against Thunder

Saturday night’s primetime ABC game between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder will likely be missing a key figure.

Steve Kerr said on the radio Friday that Kevin Durant is doubtful to play against OKC.

“I would say it’s doubtful,” Kerr told “The Damon Bruce Show” on Friday.

Durant is listed as questionable for the game, leading Kerr to say he probably should have used that term, though he’s not expecting KD to play.

The Warriors head coach said that if it were a playoff game, Durant would suit up. But since it’s the regular season, he’s giving Durant extra time to heal.

Durant left Sunday’s loss to the Phoenix Suns in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury and has not played since then. He missed the win over the Rockets and may not play until Monday at San Antonio.
