Timberwolves get hilarious Wikipedia update after Jimmy Butler outburst
You could make the argument that Jimmy Butler is calling the shots with the Minnesota Timberwolves after his dramatic performance at practice on Wednesday, and Wikipedia seemed to agree for at least a short time this week.
At some point after Butler berated his teammates, coaches and Minnesota’s front office on the practice court, the official Wikipedia page of the Timberwolves received a minor tweak. Rather than Glen Taylor being listed as the owner of the franchise, Butler received the honor.

This is precisely the type of thing Taylor hoped to avoid when he told T-Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau to grant Butler his request and find a trade partner. Taylor doesn’t want to give off the impression that there is dysfunction within his organization, yet Butler’s theatrics on Wednesday led to Minnesota cancelling practice the following day.
There have been mixed reports about how Butler’s antics were received by his teammates, but the whole situation is embarrassing for the team. While Thibodeau may be hesitant to trade a player he knows his team will be far worse without, Butler is really leaving the Timberwolves no choice.
