Trae Young’s dad has message for NBA at trade deadline
Trae Young’s father Ray had a message for the NBA at this year’s trade deadline.
Several blockbuster trades were made on Thursday ahead of this year’s deadline. The biggest deal of all was the Ben Simmons for James Harden swap between the Nets and 76ers.
Young’s dad managed to tie all the moves back to his son, arguing that Trae is the reason for all the shakeups in the Eastern Conference.
Y’all can think or say what you want. But my son SHOOK UP THE WHOLE EASTERN CONFERENCE after last seasons Playoff run……Got every team scrambling! All good though, he’s just 23……JUST GETTING STARTED. That’s a PROMISE🏀❤️💯@NBA @ATLHawks #NBATradeDeadline

That’s quite a theory by Mr. Young.
Considering that the Hawks are 26-28 this season, thinking that teams are panicking about their standing because of Trae is a stretch. However, Young’s Hawks knocked out the 76ers from the playoffs last year. That was the series when Ben Simmons essentially refused to shoot. So in that sense, Young did help blow up the Simmons-Joel Embiid 76ers.
Now Philly has Harden, and Brooklyn has Simmons. As for Atlanta, they really need to make a move this season.
