Vivint Arena evacuated after Warriors-Jazz game due to suspicious package
People were evacuated from Vivint Smart Home Arena after the Utah Jazz’s 113-109 win over the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
According to Warriors reporter Anthony Slater, everyone remaining in the arena was evacuated about 30 minutes after the game due to a suspicious package. Warriors players were rushed out of the locker room to their bus.
Strange postgame scene in Utah. Everyone remaining in arena evacuated about 30 minutes after the game. Warriors rushed out of locker room to their bus. Result of an unattended suspicious package apparently.

Salt Lake Tribune reporter Andy Larsen reported the same and said everyone in the Jazz locker room had to evacuate. Larsen said the move seemed precautionary.
Some players didn’t shower, everyone was told to get dressed right away. Calm evacuation so far. Seems precautionary. Standing in the players’ parking lot now, trying to get more info.

A bomb-sniffing dog gave a positive signal to a package left near the El Chubasco restaurant, I’m told. Told it could be 3 hours or more until Vivint Arena is cleared. They’re clearing the whole block of people now.
