Jon Jones may be returning to MMA action sooner than expected because he took a supplement that was meant to enhance his performance in the bedroom, not in the Octagon. That’s what one fellow UFC champion has heard, at least.
During a recent episode of “The Countdown” on MMA on SiriusXM, UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping claimed he has learned Jones tested positive for estrogen blockers because he took a generic version of Cialis. If whatever sexual enhancement pill Jones allegedly took is not on the banned substance list, Bisping says Jones should get nothing more than a “slap on the wrist.”
You can listen to Bisping’s explanation below:
Jones revealed in an Instagram video last week that he got some good news recently and expects to be back fighting “really soon.”
If you remember, Jones broke down crying while speaking to reporters (video here) and said he can’t even pronounce the name of the substance he tested positive for. He also insisted he is not a cheater.

If you’re wondering why Conor McGregor was able to beat Nate Diaz at UFC 202 in Las Vegas on Saturday night, it’s very clearly because he had some Vince McMahon swag in his corner.
Prior to their fight, McGregor got his Vince McMahon in by emulating the WWE boss’ swaggy walk with arms out and a-flailing:
It’s not the first time Conor McGregor did the Vince McMahon swag walk. He also had done it in this video posted on YouTube in March:

Conor McGregor denied initial reports that he had broken his foot during his bout with Nate Diaz, confirming only that his shin was quite beaten up.
Immediately after the fight, it was said that McGregor’s foot was broken, presumably a result of a number of leg kicks he delivered. However, when speaking to the media, McGregor said that his foot was fine, his shin was simply in poor shape.
“My shin. I kicked his knee about 40 times and it’s hurting me,” McGregor said, via Damon Martin of Fox Sports. “That’s it, just my shin, everything else is good. My ankle was actually a bit banged up coming into the fight. We were practicing leg kicks in camp so it was a little bit swollen coming in but it’s the shin.
“I kicked his knee clean, I think it was in the first round and then I just kept kicking so I’m feeling it now, but other than that I am perfect.”
McGregor did need crutches after the fight, but maintained that he was by and large alright after defeating Diaz in an epic five-round bout.

Jon Jones has been serving an indefinite suspension from his latest failed drug test back in June. It has widely been assumed that he will end up with a two-year ban once his case is reviewed by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Not so fast, the interim UFC light heavyweight champion says.
In an Instagram video from Sunday that has since been deleted, a smiling Jones thanked fans for their support and said he recently received some “really good news” regarding his positive drug test. Jones made it seem like his suspension could wind up getting overturned.

“We have found out lots of really good news,” Jones said. “I am expecting to be back in the Octagon really soon.”
Jones has been adamant that he had no idea he ingested a banned substance. He broke down crying while speaking to reporters last month (video here) and said he cannot even pronounce the name of the substance he tested positive for. Jones later said in a series of tweets that he knows he is not a cheater and trusts the system will make things right.

Kevin Ferguson Jr., the son of the late Kimbo Slice, will be making his professional MMA debut on Aug. 26 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. on the preliminary card at Bellator 160. On Monday, Bellator announced the opponent for “Baby Slice.”
Baby Slice will be facing Jonathan Tomasian, a 20-year-old from Santa Clara, Calif., who will also be making his professional MMA debut. Tomasian was 2-0 as an amateur, winning by knockout and decision. He is a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu and trains at Strive Jiu Jitsu Academy in Lodi Calif.
Baby Slice was signed by Bellator to a developmental deal in April. He won his first amateur fight with a knockout win in 83 seconds earlier this year.
Baby Slice trains in Long Beach, Calif. at Body Shop Gym.

Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos underwent a lengthy surgery on Wednesday to help repair his fractured skull, and he later shared photos of the results of the procedure.
The Brazilian MMA fighter lost to Michael Page at Bellator 158 in London on July 16 and had his skull crushed on a flying knee. There was literally a dent in his skull, as photos showed.
But thanks to Bellator, which is covering his medical bills, Santos had a 7-hour operation Wednesday to get his skull fixed.
“I had surgery yesterday, and thank God everything went fine,” Santos told MMA Fighting before leaving the hospital on Thursday. “It lasted seven hours, and the hospital will give Bellator a full report later today. God guided the doctors in this surgery so everything went well.”
You can see all the staples and other tools used to fix his skull, as well as a big scar around his head.

Ronda Rousey has yet to make an announcement on if and when she will return to the Octagon, and one of her fellow fighters believes that is because the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion is expecting a child.
On Thursday, Cris “Cyborg” Justino tweeted that she keeps hearing a “rumor” Rousey is pregnant.
— Cris Cyborg (@criscyborg) July 28, 2016
Rousey claims that is a lie. UFC president Dana White told TMZ he spoke with her on the phone after Cyborg sent the tweet, and Rousey assured White she is not with child.
We know Rousey wants children eventually. The 29-year-old said in an emotional interview earlier this year (video here) that one of the things that kept her from wanting to kill herself after her loss to Holly Holm was the thought of having children with her boyfriend, fellow MMA fighter Travis Browne.
White has said Rousey will get a shot to reclaim her title when she returns, but it’s looking like that won’t come until 2017. Perhaps Cyborg, who has insulted Rousey on more than a few occasions, is trying a new strategy to pressure Rousey into fighting her instead.
