Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Lerentee McCray was arrested on Sunday morning after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase in Central Florida.

According to News4Jax, the Fruitland Park Police Department’s arrest report states that police clocked McCray doing 88 mph in a 50 mph zone. As police attempted to stop McCray in his Dodge Ram pickup truck, McCray allegedly put his hand out the window and flipped off the officer. McCray later claimed he was just motioning to the police to follow him.

McCray is accused of traveling at a high speed, swerving through various lanes, and driving in a reckless manner. He was eventually stopped by officers from the Tavares Police Department. Those officers believed McCray was operating in an altered mental state and sent him for an evaluation.

McCray was arrested and charged with a second-degree felony for fleeing and eluding police with disregard of safety to persons or property. He posted bond and was released eight hours after his arrest.

McCray is scheduled for arraignment on Feb. 14.

McCray has been in the NFL since 2014 despite going undrafted out of Florida. He had nine tackles in 12 games this season.

Browns’ Malik McDowell arrested over alleged public exposure incident

Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Malik McDowell is in trouble with the law once again.

McDowell was arrested on Monday in Deerfield Beach, Fla., after he allegedly exposed himself in public. According to court records obtained by WPLG Local 10, police received a call that a man was walking around naked near a children’s school. Surveillance footage showed McDowell walk onto the property naked while school was in session.

In addition to public exposure, McDowell was also charged with aggravated battery of an officer and resisting an officer with violence. The police report accuses him of a “violent attack” on an officer that left the officer “dazed.”

The Browns issued a statement on the “very concerning incident.”

McDowell was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round back in 2017. He never played for the team due a combination of injuries and off-field issues. He was arrested for driving while under the influence and then disorderly conduct in 2017. He was also arrested and tasered during a traffic stop in 2019.

McDowell made his NFL debut with the Browns this season. He appeared in 15 games and recorded 33 total tackles and three sacks.

WWE legend Tammy Sytch arrested over alleged threat with scissors

Tammy Sytch during an interview

WWE legend Tammy Sytch was arrested Thursday and charged with illegally possessing a weapon and making terroristic threats. The charges allegedly stemmed from a domestic incident that could have ended very badly.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, police in New Jersey say Sytch — who was known as “Sunny” during her wrestling days — threatened to kill her “intimate partner” with a pair of scissors. It’s unclear what led to the altercation.

An officer who witnessed the incident said Sytch raised a pair of scissors “in the air toward the victim” and threatened to kill him. The officer believed that Sytch was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Sytch, 49, was arrested on three charges and was still in custody as of Friday. She has been arrested numerous times in the past. The last was an arrest in February 2019 for driving while under the influence. That was one of six DUI arrests for Sytch. She spent eight months in jail in 2018.

Sytch was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. She was considered the original WWE Diva.

Geno Smith reportedly had vulgar insult for officer during DUI arrest

Geno Smith jogs onto the field

Geno Smith was arrested for driving while under the influence hours after the Seattle Seahawks’ season ended, and the veteran quarterback reportedly was not very cooperative with police.

Smith was arrested in Washington just after 2 a.m. on Monday morning. The incident occurred not long after Seattle’s 38-30 win over the Arizona Cardinals. According to police documents obtained by TMZ, Smith was pulled over after he was observed driving 96 mph in his Rolls Royce in a 60-mph zone. Police said he smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking wine.

Smith allegedly became upset when he was asked to submit to field sobriety tests. He eventually wanted to stop with the tests, at which point he was arrested. One officer said he made a joke to Smith about how the officer’s wife thinks he works too much, and Smith responded with a vulgar insult.

“I joked with him about how my wife thinks I work too much,” the officer wrote in the report. “Somehow he said that’s because ‘you have a little d—.’ I said, wow, maybe that is the problem, then he said ‘you have a little d—, you have little d— syndrome.'”

Smith refused a breathalyzer, so he was taken to the hospital to have his blood drawn. An officer said Smith then refused to have his blood drawn at the facility and threatened to “f— every one of y’all up.” Another officer wrote that Smith said “you don’t want to see me out of these cuffs, you don’t want to know what will happen.”

Smith had to be physically restrained for the blood draw. He allegedly told police throughout the ordeal that they were going to regret what they were doing.

The details surrounding the arrest sound bad for Smith, but he took to Twitter on Monday night to ask people to withhold judgment.

Smith just finished his second season with the Seahawks. He is set to be a free agent. The 31-year-old quarterback went 65/95 for 702 yards with five touchdown passes this year.

Smith was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Monday morning and then released, according to King County District Court records. His arrest was at 2:10 am and he was released on $1,000 bail at 9:27 am.

“Geno is fully cooperative with the investigation,” Smith’s attorney said in a statement. “I hope that an open mind can be kept by all as the facts are ascertained.”

Despite the arrest, Smith was still in attendance for a team meeting on Monday.

Smith just finished his second season with the Seahawks. He is set to be a free agent.

The 31-year-old quarterback went 65/95 for 702 yards with five touchdown passes this season. He shared the following statement over Twitter after news of his arrest was made public:

Video surfaces of store fight that led to Titans’ Bud Dupree being charged

Bud Dupree on the sideline

Tennessee Titans linebacker Bud Dupree has been charged with assault following an altercation at a pharmacy on Sunday night, and there is now a video that shows some of the alleged incident.

The Metro Nashville Police Department announced on Tuesday that Dupree has been charged with misdemeanor assault and issued a citation. The citation states that some of Dupree’s friends got into an argument with an employee at a Walgreens store in Nashville on Sunday night. Dupree allegedly grabbed the employee and his phone and got into a “physical altercation,” according to The Tennessean.

MNPD spokesperson Don Aaron said Dupree had left the Walgreens store by the time police arrived. The employee, who was filming at the time of the incident, was treated for a cut on his forehead. A female employee was treated for a cut on her hand.

A video that was obtained by Broadway Sports shows a portion of the physical altercation. Dupree, who is wearing a tan jumpsuit in the clip, appeared to be trying to get his friends out of the store, though it’s unclear what happened before the recording started. Dupree also appeared to tell his friends to take the phone away from the person who was filming.

The Titans said Tuesday that they are aware of the incident and gathering more information.

Dupree signed a five-year, $82.5 million deal with Tennessee last offseason. He was with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the first six seasons of his career prior to that. He had some issues with his contract before his final season in Pittsburgh and filed a grievance.

Dupree, 28, has 14 total tackles and three sacks in 10 games this season.

Raiders’ Nate Hobbs arrested for DUI after allegedly passing out in car

Nate Hobbs on the field

Yet another Las Vegas Raiders player is in trouble with the law, as rookie defensive back Nate Hobbs was arrested following the team’s win on Sunday.

Hobbs was arrested for driving while under the influence early Monday morning, according to TMZ. Police responded to a call at around 4 a.m. after witnesses saw Hobbs asleep at the wheel on a parking lot exit ramp near The Cromwell hotel in Las Vegas.

The incident took place just hours after the Raiders’ upset road win over the Indianapolis Colts. Police reportedly woke Hobbs up and conducted field sobriety tests with him. They concluded that the 22-year-old was intoxicated.

Hobbs was booked on one count of misdemeanor DUI at the Clark County Detention Center. He has a court date set for May.

Hobbs, a fifth-round pick, has 67 total tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and an interception in 15 games this season. He started in Sunday’s win over the Colts and recorded four tackles.

The Raiders have had multiple issues with players they drafted in the last two years. Wide receiver Henry Ruggs, a first-round pick in 2020, was cut earlier this season after he was responsible for a horrifying car accident that killed another driver. The team also moved on from cornerback Damon Arnette, another 2020 first-round pick, following some very troubling social media posts.

Woman from viral airplane video is former Raiders cheerleader

Patricia Cornwall causes a scene during a flight

The woman who was arrested after causing a scene on a Delta Airlines flight last week was once an NFL cheerleader.

Patricia Cornwall, who has been dubbed “Delta Karen” after the video of her in-flight outburst went viral, is a former Los Angeles Raiders cheerleader. The 51-year-old also appeared in videos for Playboy in the 1990s, according to Outkick’s Joe Kinsey.

A video went viral this week that showed Cornwall confronting an older man about not wearing a mask during a Dec. 23 flight from Tampa to Atlanta. An argument between the two escalated, and Cornwall slapped the man and spit at him. Blood could be seen coming down the man’s left cheek in the video. You can watch the clip below, but beware that it contains inappropriate language.

Cornwall was arrested when the flight landed in Georgia. According to police, the man she slapped claimed Cornwall was returning to her seat near the back of the plane after using the restroom and became upset that the drink cart was in her way. A flight attendant asked Cornwall to find an empty seat until the beverage service was completed, to which Cornwall allegedly responded, “What am I, Rosa Parks?”

The man said he told Cornwall that her comment was inappropriate and that she “isn’t black … this isn’t Alabama and this isn’t a bus.”

Cornwall, who was previously known as Patty Breton, was a cheerleader and actress in the 1990s. She had minor roles in the TV shows “Married with Children” and “Baywatch.”

Cornwall has been arrested multiple times in recent years, most recently when she allegedly tried to fight police during a DUI arrest in Florida. She was also accused of threatening to kill her mother last year.

Cornwall was taken into FBI custody. She has been charged with assaulting, beating, or wounding a passenger during a domestic flight.

Aldon Smith tried to bribe driver prior to DUI

Aldon Smith mug shot

Aldon Smith was arrested earlier this month after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into another car, and police say the former San Francisco 49ers star tried to pay his way out of trouble.

Smith was charged with driving while under the influence and DUI causing injury following a two-car accident in Redwood City, Calif., on Dec. 6. He pleaded not guilty on Tuesday. According to court documents reviewed by Michael Nowels of the San Jose Mercury News, Smith rear-ended a truck and then offered the other driver $1,000 to not involve police. The driver suffered minor injuries.

California Highway Patrol officers were called to the scene, where they found two empty bottles of hard alcohol in Smith’s truck. The 32-year-old refused a field sobriety test but later took a blood test that showed his blood-alcohol content was .288. The legal limit in California is .08, so Smith’s BAC was more than three times the legal limit.

Officers also found marijuana in Smith’s pockets. He is facing misdemeanor charges of driving with open alcohol and marijuana containers in addition to the two felonies.

Smith has a long history of alcohol abuse issues. He has been arrested several times for DUI, including once in 2018 when his BAC was shockingly high.

Smith was reinstated from a suspension prior to last season and appeared in all 16 games for the Dallas Cowboys. The former No. 7 overall pick had five sacks and 50 QB pressures. He was with the Seattle Seahawks this past offseason but released following another arrest in April.

Aldon Smith had extremely high BAC at time of latest DUI arrest

Former San Francisco 49ers star Aldon Smith was arrested for driving while under the influence again earlier this month, and the circumstances surrounding the incident sound quite familiar.

Smith was charged with felony DUI causing injury after he was involved in a two-car crash on Dec. 6 in San Mateo Valley, Calif. One person suffered a minor injury in the accident. TMZ has since learned from prosecutors that Smith was believed to have had a blood alcohol content of more than .20.

Court documents state that Smith had a BAC of over .15. The legal limit in California is .08. On Monday, a spokesperson from the San Mateo County District Attorneys Office told TMZ that Smith’s BAC was actually greater than .20.

Smith had an open container in his car at the time of the accident. Police also found marijuana in his vehicle. The 32-year-old is facing up to three years in prison if convicted.
