Bret Hart set to have skin cancer removed

Bret Hart

Bret Hart shared on Instagram Thursday that he was diagnosed with skin cancer.

Hart, a wildly popular wrestler who was a WWF and WCW champion in the ’90s, shared a photo on Instagram of his upper left shoulder. In his caption, Hart said he was set to have “basal cell carcinoma” removed soon.

“Goal for 2020 and beyond: wear more sunscreen! Basal cell carcinoma removal scheduled soon. Another opportunity to remind everyone to look after your health and #getchecked,” Hart wrote.

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer. Hart’s post is a good reminder to make sure you wear sunblock to protect yourself from skin cancer.

The Hitman, 62, lives in Calgary. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.

Video: Preacher runs into ring during WWE ‘RAW’ and gets taken down by security

WWE fan preacher

Security took down what appeared to be a fan unexpectedly invading the ring during WWE “Monday Night RAW” in a bizarre sequence at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, but the security workers were mistaken.

As AJ Styles was walking out the ring and back into the locker room after his match, RAW cameras showed security going after a man in a suit who had rolled into the ring. The cameras zoomed in and the announcers were mostly speechless over what was happening.

As Ryan Satin pointed out, that wasn’t some fan who had blown by security and sneaked into the ring. It was actually the actor who played the preacher in the Lana/Bobby Lashley wedding. Lana was due up next, so the man probably was just not properly told when to enter, causing a scene. The announcers did not address the situation when the program returned from commercial.

Brock Lesnar’s daughter Mya signs with Arizona State track team

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is famous for his professional wrestling and mixed martial arts careers, and you will not be surprised to hear that he has passed down some of the incredible strength to one of his children.

Lesnar’s daughter, Mya, recently committed to Arizona State, where she will join the track team. Mya won a shot-putting state championship in Minnesota and is the sixth-best shot-putter in the nation.

Brock Lesnar is probably one of the most intimidating men on the planet, and the resemblance between him and his daughter should be enough to strike fear in the hearts of Mya’s opponents. Here’s hoping she enjoys a great collegiate athletic career, and something tells us she will.

Chris Jericho’s AEW world title belt stolen while he was eating dinner

Chris Jericho’s AEW world championship belt was stolen while the 48-year-old was eating dinner on Sunday night in Tallahassee, Florida.

Jericho won the AEW All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago on Saturday and had arrived back at his home city. According to a police report that was filed, Jericho took a rented limousine from the airport to a Longhorn Steakhouse to eat. He left the belt in the limo while he ate. When the limo returned to the restaurant from a trip back to the airport, the belt was missing.

Here’s what the police report says:

“The victim reported the theft of his championship wrestling belt while he was eating inside Longhorn Steakhouse. The victim stated he arrived at the Millionaire Club Airport Terminal and placed the belt inside his rented limousine. The limo driver shuttled the victim to Longhorn for dinner. The victim remained at Longhorn while the limo driver returned to the airport. The victim had taken the wrong luggage from the airport and the driver took it back to the terminal. When the driver picked up the victim from the restaurant, the belt was missing. Responding officers searched the limo and airport for the belt without success. On-call CID was consulted, and forensics responded to the scene.”

AEW has a second belt according to Bryan Alvarez.

That means even if Jericho’s missing belt is not recovered within the next month, AEW still should have a championship belt for their first TNT show on October 2.

Ronda Rousey shares story of her nasty finger injury

Rowdy Ronda Rousey

The finger injury that Ronda Rousey suffered while shooting FOX drama show “9-1-1” is nothing to joke about.

Earlier Tuesday, we shared details of the report regarding the nasty injury Rousey sustained and how she kept filming until saying something during a break.

After word of the injury went public, Rousey posted about it on her Instagram account. She even included a photo (only look if you think you can handle it since it’s graphic).

Here is the caption Rousey shared on her Instagram post:

“So the word is out I nearly lost my finger shooting @911onfox. Freak accident, first take of the day a boat door fell on my hand, I thought I just jammed my fingers so I finished the take before looking (I know it sounds crazy, but I’m used to live audiences and never showing pain unless I’m supposed to) after a break in the action I told our director the situation and was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where they promptly reattached my bone and tendon with a plate and screws. I returned to filming the next day and finished my scenes before returning home to recover. Modern medicine amazes me, I already had 50% range of motion back in 3 days. There’s so much more than I can write here, stayed tuned via @rondarouseydotcom for the full story. And of course tune in to see how well I can act like my finger didn’t just fall off in this upcoming season of @911onfox”.

Rousey says she is amazed by modern medicine and how she had 50 percent of her range of motion back in three days. I think the real amazing part is not medicine, but how Rousey reacted to what seems to be a pretty serious situation. She continued to film, played through the pain, and was back to work the next day. That’s the toughness of a true MMA legend for you.

Ronda Rousey suffered gruesome finger injury while filming ‘911’ show

Ronda Rousey WWE

Ronda Rousey is no longer subjecting her body to the types of hazards associated with mixed martial arts, but that did not save the former UFC champion from suffering a brutal injury last week.

Rousey was filming a scene for the FOX television show “911” in Mexico last week when she suffered a gruesome finger injury. Rousey, who plays an LA firefighter named Lena on the show, was doing a scene where she was supposed to dramatically slam a door, but there was an accident. A source told TMZ “she was a little over-exuberant and slammed the door on her finger.”

TMZ shared a graphic photo of the injury, and you probably don’t want to look at it unless you have a strong stomach. Rousey actually damaged two fingers, with her middle finger being broken and having a tendon nearly severed in addition to a fracture on the tip of her ring finger. The middle finger was reportedly mended using a bolt and screws.

Not surprisingly, Rousey kept her composure during the incident. She reportedly continued filming the scene until a director intervened, at which point she was taken to a local hospital. She was back on set the next morning.

Rousey has enjoyed a successful career since leaving the UFC, though she recently hinted at some potentially big changes. However, she is apparently serious enough about her acting endeavors that she’s willing to keep shooting a scene with her finger practically falling off.
