Bill Belichick brought his own headgear for ‘College GameDay’ appearance
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was the celebrity guest picker for Saturday’s edition of “College GameDay” ahead of the annual Army-Navy game, and he brought his own props.
Belichick, whose father was an assistant coach at Navy for over three decades, was always going to pick the Midshipmen. He did so in fantastic fashion, producing a “Jolly Roger” helmet that was used by Navy in their 1962 victory. He didn’t just bring it for show, either — he brought it to wear.

Belichick is known for his serious, straight-laced persona, but he certainly gets the GameDay experience and showed it here. He probably enjoyed it as a form of escapism considering how the Patriots’ season is going.
As for the rivalry, Navy has lost five of the last seven games to Army. Maybe the Belichick headgear will help them turn things around.
