Josh Rosen rips NCAA after UCLA signs $280 million Under Armour deal
UCLA is set to announce on Tuesday that it has signed a deal with Under Armour, and the agreement is reportedly worth more than any other apparel deal in the history of collegiate athletics.
This irritates Bruins quarterback Josh Rosen.
Shortly after ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported that UCLA’s deal with Under Armour is worth $280 million over 15 years, Rosen took aim at the NCAA for not allowing student athletes to make money. He deleted the post, but here’s a screenshot.
Perhaps Rosen is still salty that UCLA made him remove that hot tub from his dorm room.
Rosen certainly isn’t alone with his line of thinking, as plenty of current and former NCAA athletes as well as sports analysts have ripped the NCAA for the same reasons. Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones is in the NFL now, and he still takes shots at the NCAA.
UCLA coach Jim Mora recently encouraged Rosen to not draw attention to himself off the field, so it’s unclear how he’ll feel about the Instagram post. You can read the warning Mora issued to Rosen here.
