Mike Leach deletes, apologizes for tweet involving noose
Mike Leach has one of the best Twitter accounts in college football, but he ended up apologizing on Thursday after one of his jokes was taken in poor taste.
The Mississippi State head coach shared a cartoon-like joke about a wife getting sick of being around her husband during the quarantine period. The woman in the image is knitting something for her husband — a noose to hang him.

Leach’s tweet was clearly a joke, but with depression an issue for many who are in quarantine, some took offense to the tweet.
Leach ended up apologizing.
I sincerely regret if my choice of images in my tweets were found offensive. I had no intention of offending anyone.

That wasn’t one of Leach’s best tweets; we’ve seen much better from him. And while there is no need to be offended by the joke, this might not be the best time for dark humor.
