Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban on Saturday threw a proverbial heater at LSU alum Paul Skenes before their two schools clashed on the gridiron.
Skenes and Saban were both on ESPN’s “College GameDay” panel previewing the LSU-Alabama clash at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. When asked to give his pick for Saturday’s BYU-Utah matchup, Skenes shared that he had just learned about the rivalry’s moniker, the “Holy War”. Saban saw the perfect opportunity to playfully roast the former LSU standout.
Skenes: “I think BYU. Like you said, the ‘Holy War.’ I didn’t know it was called that until I did my homework before these picks. I did a lot of homework, so. But I’ve got BYU.
Saban: “Is this the first homework you’ve done at LSU?”

Saban has truly let loose ever since he left coaching to join the “College GameDay” crew. Who knew that the Alabama legend had such great comedic timing?
On the other hand, Saban still knows when to get critical of certain players as he did toward Jalen Milroe before the Alabama-LSU game.
