Ohio State freshman DB reportedly charged with DUI
An Ohio State freshman football player is not beginning his college career on the right note.
Marcus Hooker, the younger brother of former Buckeye Malik Hooker, was arrested by Neshannock Township police and charged with DUI, among other infractions. Here’s the report from The New Castle News.
Marcus James Hooker, 18, of New Castle, by Neshannock Township police with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lane, careless driving, no rear lights and purchase of alcoholic beverage by a minor.
Hooker is set to appear in court on July 5 to be arraigned. He was found to be driving with a blood alcohol content between 0.10 and 0.16 — classified as a “high rate of alcohol” in Pennsylvania.
A three-star recruit, Hooker could compete for a spot at safety or redshirt this season. Eleven Warriors reports that he arrived on campus in June.
