Paul Chryst reportedly set to become next Wisconsin coach

Paul Chryst Pitt

It looks like Wisconsin already has its replacement for Gary Andersen.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Paul Chryst is set to become the next head coach of the Badgers’ football team. They say Chryst is “poised to return to his alma mater.”

Chryst, 49, is completing his third season as the head coach at Pitt. He 6-7 in his first year, 7-6 after that, and his Panthers are 6-6 and headed to the Armed Forces Bowl.

Chryst is from Madison, played at Wisconsin, and has had two stints as an assistant at Wisconsin. From 2005-2011, he served as the program’s offensive coordinator and helped them achieve tremendous success.
