Antonio Brown is ‘perfectly mentally healthy’ according to attorney
Antonio Brown is perfectly fine mentally, at least according to one of his attorneys.
Lorne Berkeley, one of Brown’s two lawyers, claimed to have been informed by people familiar with the results of Brown’s mental health evaluation that the wide receiver is “perfectly mentally healthy.”
“I’ve been provided conclusory terms in the sense of he’s perfectly mentally healthy and fine,” Berkeley told USA Today’s Josh Peter. “The results are very positive.”
Berkeley defended Brown’s erratic conduct in recent months, stating that those judging him lacked the necessary context.
“At the end of the day, maybe they catch him when he’s happy or overly excited about something,” Berkeley said. “Maybe they catch him when he’s sad or upset about something. So he’s going to express himself differently.”
Whatever Brown’s mental evaluation shows, he’s in serious trouble. He seems to be beginning to realize that his recent conduct is unacceptable, and when you see some of the things he’s done in recent months, there is no excuse for that kind of behavior.
