Baker Mayfield unloads on airline for messing up fiancee’s bachelorette plans
Baker Mayfield is getting married this summer before he enters his second season in the NFL, and the Cleveland Browns quarterback is furious with an airline for throwing a wrench in some of his fiancee’s pre-wedding plans.
On Monday, Mayfield took to Twitter to rip American Airlines after his soon-to-be wife, Emily Wilkinson, had her direct flight to her bachelorette party destination canceled. Mayfield criticized the airline for changing Wilkinson’s seat and flight without issuing a refund.
Hey @AmericanAir, my fiancé has her bachelorette party this weekend and y’all cancelled her direct flight… changed her ticket and seat.. it’s no longer nonstop. I’m not sure how y’all do business but I’m pretty sure this isn’t how it’s supposed to go…. AND without a refund…

Mayfield knows he is practically a celebrity at this point, so he was probably hoping to pressure American Airlines into doing something to accommodate Wilkinson by ridiculing them to his more than 500,000 Twitter followers. For what it’s worth, the airline did respond.
You better slide into these DM’s then.

Some of Mayfield’s followers criticized him for thinking he and his girlfriend deserve special treatment, but the quarterback quickly dismissed that.
Actually I’m the one saying something Tony… get lost. If I can take care of her I’m going to. Is that so hard to comprehend? Chivalry is dead in your eyes.

Mayfield then told the troll he reminds him of Colin Cowherd, whom the former Oklahoma star has a history of firing back at over criticism. It’s that attitude that made Mayfield a Heisman Trophy winner and has him looking like a franchise quarterback in the NFL, so we’re not surprised it extends to all aspects of his life.
