The Buffalo Bills will control their own postseason destiny in Week 18, but there is a chance they could face a very unique scenario by the time kickoff comes around.

The Bills travel to Miami in Week 18 to face the Dolphins on “Sunday Night Football” for the final game of the 2023 NFL season. Depending on what happens prior to that contest, Buffalo may face a scenario where they either secure the No. 2 seed in the AFC or are eliminated from the playoffs altogether.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shared all the details. If the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars win and the Houston Texans-Indianapolis Colts game does not end in a tie, the Bills will have an all-or-nothing game.

The stakes do not get much higher than that.

The Bills entered the season as a popular Super Bowl pick, but they had a poor stretch of play in the middle of the season. That is why they are flirting with potentially missing the playoffs. Still, they do not need any help in Week 18 to get in. Most teams embrace a situation like that.
