Report: Bruce Arians, Buccaneers have mutual interest as head coach
Bruce Arians’ retirement certainly sounds as if it could be a brief one.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Arians is interested in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ head coaching job, and the team is interested in hiring him. There does not appear to be a formal interview scheduled, but it sounds as if it’s trending in that direction.
Sources: The #Bucs have real interest in former #AZCardinals coach Bruce Arians for their vacant head coach position, and the interest is mutual. The two could meet soon.

Rapoport’s NFL Network colleague Tom Pelissero added that there is “a sense in the building” that Arians will ultimately land the job.
There has been a sense in the building this week that Arians is the guy. A ways to go but this is one to watch. https://t.co/PmTC20XJnw

Arians formally retired from coaching at the end of the 2017 season, leaving the Arizona Cardinals behind. He proceeded to spend much of 2018 making noise about getting back into the game, culminating in his willingness to listen to Tampa Bay’s overtures. Arians doesn’t have the job yet, but things certainly seem to be trending that way.
